Killer Or Cover-Up Murder Trial

S1, EP99 "Brian Higgins Wraps Up His Testimony"

An ATF special agent admitted that he got rid of cell phone records of the texts he made in the weeks and even hours leading up to the death of John O'Keefe. The long testimony of Brian Higgins wrapped up. He told the jury about his friendship with Karen Read and John O'Keefe, his access to the Canton Police Department, the flirty texts he exchanged with the defendant and how he got rid of the SIM card from his phone.

S1, EP100 "The Emergency Room Physician"

The doctor who pronounced John O'Keefe dead at the hospital testified. Emergency room physician, Dr. Justin Rice, told jurors how John O'Keefe lost his life in a blizzard. He claimed that O'Keefe did not have a pulse when he got to the ER and was completely unresponsive. When O'Keefe was rushed to a nearby hospital he was declared deceased. His cause of death was blunt force trauma and hypothermia.

S1, EP101 "Blood Alcohol Content"

Pathologist from the hospital where John O'Keefe was pronounced dead took the stand. Dr. Garrey Faller, chief pathologist and laboratory medical director at Good Samaritan Hospital, oversaw the test results on the amount of alcohol in Karen Read's System. This was hours after her boyfriend was found unconscious. The defendant's blood was drawn at the hospital the night before she and O'Keefe spent the night at bars with friends.

S1, EP102 "Serum Test"

The State was not finished breaking down the testing done on Karen Read when it came to how much alcohol was in her system. Police wanted to know if Karen Read was under the influence of alcohol when she was driving her SUV the night they say she hit John O'Keefe, her boyfriend. He ended up unconscious in the snow for hours. So, investigators used a type of testing to get an estimate of how much alcohol may have been in her system hours before an official blood test was done.
