Lockup: Colorado: Extended Stay

News cameras go behind the walls of Limon Correctional Facility in Colorado, where they capture the gritty realities of life in a state prison. Viewers see some of what really goes on behind bars, from a cellblock flooding staged by inmates in protest of MSNBC cameras letting convicted sex offenders talk, to a transfer prisoner whose previous behavior has guards taking him straight to administrative segregation. Inmates complain about their treatment -- they're limited to three showers a week, for example -- and come up with their own methods for survival on the inside.

S1, EP5 "Pain"

One reality of prison is that there's never a shortage of pain, and at the Limon Correctional Facility in Colorado, there's enough left over for the visitors as well; drama unfolds as a father and son try to reconcile a violent past.

S1, EP6 "Love Hurts"

Even for inmates serving hard time, love can be a strong motivator; in prison, reaching out to others can be a dicey proposition; some inmates just don't know when someone's getting too close until it's too late.

S1, EP1 "There Goes the Neighborhood"

Welcome to Limon Correctional Facility, a level 4 prison that houses many of Colorado's most dangerous inmates; while visiting Limon Correctional, the Lockup crew is greeted by angry inmates and the cell extraction team is called in to help.

S1, EP2 "Crackdown"

When Travis Trani took charge in 2008 he oversaw the implementation of several new policies; the restrictions on movement were among the toughest; inmates from the six different housing units could no longer freely move throughout the prison.
