"Grouse, Woodcock, and Apples"
In the thick uninhabited forests of Northern Maine, Daniel is on the hunt for two elusive upland game birds - woodcock and ruffed grouse - which pair perfectly with New England's feral apples.

Daniel travels to Canada's easternmost point of land, the island of Newfoundland; he obtains the guidance of local game cook and forager, Laurie McCarthy.

Daniel embarks on a journey to the Standing Rock Reservation and visits the native-owned bison ranch there; he and his wife Avani have the chance to experience the bison hunt and share in a traditional Dakota meal.
