The inaugural Bay Area Women's Classic begins as Stanford faces No. 11 Ohio State. The Buckeyes are 11-0 for the second time in three seasons. The Chase Center is the home court of the expansion Golden State Valkyries, debuting in the WNBA in 2025.
"Duke at Maryland"
The No. 18 Terrapins (2-0) host the No. 11 Blue Devils (2-0). Rutgers transfer Kaylene Smikle netted 20 points in Maryland's 70-47 triumph over nearby Coppin State on Nov. 7. These schools last met in the 2015 NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16, a Terps win.
"Notre Dame at Purdue"
An all-Hoosier State battle sees the Boilermakers (1-0) host the No. 6 Fighting Irish (1-0). Notre Dame has won nine in a row over Purdue, including a 76-39 shellacking last season. Hannah Hidalgo (ND) notched 23 points and seven steals in that win.
"Creighton vs UCLA"
The No. 1 Bruins and Bluejays close out the Bay Area Women's Classic. UCLA eliminated Creighton from the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament, and did the same in 2018. Kiki Rice and Lauren Betts (UCLA) combined for 44 points in the 2024 win.
