New Japan Pro Wrestling
New Japan Pro Wrestling, founded in 1972 by now-retired pro wrestler Antonio Inoki, is the top professional wrestling organization in its homeland but hasn't received much media exposure in the U.S. This weekly AXS TV show looks to change that by featuring some of NJPW's top matches from recent years that are airing in America for the first time. The featured matches involve the company's top stars and include some battles in which the promotion's top title, the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, is on the line. The series features English language commentary from top combat fighters and announcers.
"Power Struggle 24"
Shingo Takagi challenges Zack Sabre Jr. for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Kenny Omega returns to New Japan.
"Invasion Attack 15: Ibush"
A.J. Styles defends the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Kota Ibushi in a four star classic encounter.
"Hinokuni 15: Ishii vs. Makabe"
Togi Makabe and Tomohiro Ishii collide for the NEVER Openweight Championship. Hiroyoshi Tenzan defends the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
"Invasion Attack 15: Dorad"
Hiroshi Tanahashi and Katsuyori Shibata meet Kazushi Sakuraba and Toru Yano. Kenny Omega defends the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship and the Young Bucks defend the IWGP Jr. Tag Championship.
