Major Crimes

When "The Closer" came to a close, doors opened for the detectives in the Los Angeles Police Department's Major Crimes Division, with the biggest opportunity presented to Capt. Sharon Raydor. The captain is now the boss, taking over a department that hasn't forgotten her history of internal investigations targeting them and their former boss, Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson. As Raydor attempts to mend fences and gain the trust and confidence of her detectives -- her biggest foe in that regard is Lt. Provenza -- she leads a unit that works more closely than Johnson ever did with other police and prosecutors to build airtight cases.

S2, EP16 "Risk Assessment"

The Major Crimes Division must work with the FBI when a graduate student is shot in a gang-riddled neighborhood; each member of the unit reveals how they became interested in joining the police force.

S2, EP17 "Year-End Blowout"

A bomb explodes on a used car lot, killing one of the owners; Rusty wears a bullet-proof vest in an attempt to catch the person responsible for threatening his and Sharon's lives.

S2, EP18 "Return to Sender"

The squad works to track down a serial killer before he strikes again; a game of chess grows dangerous.

S2, EP19 "Return to Sender Part 2"

The unit draws closer to finding a serial killer; Rusty takes the stand against Phillip Stroh; the team goes head to head with a powerful attorney.
