"Cops" has been producing new episodes for more than 20 years, and with daily repeats of the iconic series entering their second decade on the air, producers felt it was time for a change to freshen things up, which is how the idea for "Cops Reloaded" was born. This entry in the long-running franchise takes footage from previous episodes and re-edits it to produce new episodes. An ex-girlfriend breaks into her ex's home when he has a restraining order on her; cops search a car of a man who failed to use his light when changing lanes but when cops search the car, they find marijuana and cocaine.

A young boy is found in a suspect's apartment after being kidnapped; a suspicious car is pulled over for having the wrong license plate but when he talks to the officers, they notice he has crack-cocaine in his mouth.
