The Goldbergs
In the 1980s, geeky Adam uses a video camera to document his family's crazy life. His mother, Beverly, is overprotective and lacks boundaries, while his dad has a hot temper and finds it difficult to parent without screaming. Rounding out the clan are Adam's terrifying sister, Erica; his older brother, Barry, who has middle-child syndrome; and the family's beloved grandfather, Al "Pops" Solomon. Pops is responsible for wild antics, including offering drinks to Barry and teaching Adam about the ways of love -- which create more chaos in an already high-strung family.

Adam and Emmy's favorite TV game show holds auditions at their school; Barry thinks Beverly is a good luck charm for his favorite sports team.

Adam decides to film an original script he wrote about Indiana Jones; his passion for directing is called into question; Murray and Barry make a bet about whether or not a cheesesteak sandwich in New Jersey is the best one ever.

Murray encourages Adam to break the rules, leading to Beverly taking away Adam's phone privileges on Valentine's Day; Barry goes overboard as he tries to impress Lainey.

Beverly tries to combat an empty nest by nursing coach Mellor back to health after a fall from the rope climb; Erica and her roommates get on each other's nerves.
