The Goldbergs
In the 1980s, geeky Adam uses a video camera to document his family's crazy life. His mother, Beverly, is overprotective and lacks boundaries, while his dad has a hot temper and finds it difficult to parent without screaming. Rounding out the clan are Adam's terrifying sister, Erica; his older brother, Barry, who has middle-child syndrome; and the family's beloved grandfather, Al "Pops" Solomon. Pops is responsible for wild antics, including offering drinks to Barry and teaching Adam about the ways of love -- which create more chaos in an already high-strung family.

Adam risks physical harm in a game of paintball; Erica's friends see through her fake boyfriend; Beverly misses seeing the Beach Boys at Live Aid, due to Murray's stubbornness.

Adam's girlfriend is back from her summer at NYU and seems like a different person; after receiving some bad advice from his loved ones, Adam takes drastic measures to hold on to his relationship; Beverly is not happy with Lainey's domestic skills.

Murray and Pop-Pop have a message war after getting their first-ever answering machines; Beverly worries about Adam's social standing when he starts spending his lunch time with some geeks in the computer room.

Erica's dreams come true when she lands a job at the new karaoke bar in town; Erica turns to Beverly for help bringing in more customers; Murray tries to teach Barry and Lainey how to be financially responsible adults.
