Superior Donuts
Donut shop owner Arthur is a gruff Chicagoan who refuses to move into the 20th century by updating the menu with trendy items or renovating the space -- which has remained unchanged since it's opening in 1969. Things start to change when enterprising go-getter Franco talks his way into a job at the shop and convinces Arthur that he can modernize the business, allowing it to remain competitive in the rapidly gentrifying neighborhood. The two get support from Arthur's loyal customers, as they work to remain profitable and fend off the efforts of aspiring real estate capitalist Fawz, who is constantly pressuring Arthur to sell him the building.
S2, EP12 "Always Bet on Black"
Frustrated by Fawz's willingness to exploit Black History Month, Franco invites a former Negro League baseball player to the shop to share his story; Randy decides to investigate a mysterious woman Tush meets through an online dating site.
S2, EP13 "Father, Son, and Holy Goats"
Arthur hires Fawz's son at the shop; Franco encourages the aspiring DJ to skip college and follow his dream; Sofia must contend with unruly goats and other unexpected challenges while organizing the Uptown Winter Carnival.
S2, EP14 "High Class Problems"
When Franco discovers that his new girlfriend is rich, he questions her true reasons for dating him; Arthur significantly raises the price of his donuts to help pay for a new boat motor and winds up attracting the hipster crowd he once rejected.
S2, EP15 "The Chicago Way"
Randy is asked by her former supervisor to talk to a female rookie who filed a sexual harassment complaint against him; Arthur's usual arrangement with a health inspector to ignore violations in the shop goes awry when a new inspector shows up.
