"Remi, a boy from chavenon village"
Remi and his mother live alone in a small village; they get word from Remi's father that he has been injured on the job; to get enough money, they must sell Remi's beloved cow Rousette.
"Remi, the child of destiny"
Remi's father returns, bitter and is gnarled by his misfortunes; he informs Remi that he is adopted, and since they can no longer afford to care for him, he must be sold.
"Remi's Departure"
Remi is introduced to a severe looking man called Vitalis who might be interested in buying him.
"March forward, remi!"
Life on the road is hard; Remi's feet hurt, and he misses his mother dearly; but soon he finds that although the life is hard, Vitalis is quite a kind man.
"A New Beginning"
Remi and Mattia have a home, they have a mother, they have a warm bed; it's everything they've ever dreamed of, or maybe not.

Remi and Mattia search for Mrs. Milligan but it goes in vain; but there's one person whose voice people haven't heard from yet.

Mrs. Milligan pays a visit to Mrs. Barberin, and the truth is finally revealed.
