For King and CountryIn the Second World War, the Canadian Corps fought bravely, often desperately, in crucial but unglamorous campaigns -- campaigns now largely forgotten. Military historian Norm Christie takes viewers back to the battlefields of World War II to relive the exploits of one of Canada's greatest generations. Over the course of six one-hour episodes, Christie presents an in-depth treatment of the war from a Canadian point of view, using archival footage, photographs, artwork and re-enactments to depict a sense of what it was really like to fight "For King and Country." Each episode covers a major Canadian campaign and includes analysis of how these battles created major turning points in the war, and for Canada itself.
