Synopsis

Jane (Gale Storm) journeys from Ohio to New York City, hoping to become a famous singer and see her name in lights. But she discovers that, at age 17, she's not quite old enough for a nightclub gig, but too mature to enroll in a prominent music academy that awards scholarships to students under the age of 15. Desperate to further her career, Jane pretends to be a 14-year-old girl and enrolls in the academy, where she falls for her dashing music professor, Jack Leonard (Bill Henry).
