Gene (Gene Autry) must confront a lumber company after their overzealous tree felling leads to the flooding of ranch lands. After trying to negotiate with the company's manager, Gene and his sidekick, Frog (Smiley Burnette), travel to the city to speak with the corporation's founder, old Asa Wentworth (George Cleveland). Before long, the goodhearted Asa realizes Gene's in the right; unfortunately, Asa's city-slicker granddaughter now controls the company, and she won't be so easy to win over.
