The Eastern Front

Up until 1945 the Nazi Army had repelled every Russian attempt to drive across the Oder River and force their way into Berlin to surely signal the final days of World War II. In early April, Joseph Stalin concentrated a tremendous force of his Russian Army between Stettin and Breslau for what would prove a final, fatal blow to Hitler's troops. The night the Russian Army finally struck on April 16th, leaving no one in Berlin with hope of stopping the massive Russian offensive.
