It's "Deadliest Catch" without the crabs. The four crews in this series are on the hunt for the elusive swordfish, working on the waters around the Grand Banks off Newfoundland and the Georges Bank off the Gulf of Maine. On top of unpredictably deadly weather there -- "The Perfect Storm" of 1991 being the most famous system -- these long-line fishermen face physically and mentally exhausting days, fighting with monsters of the deep that can weigh more than 1,000 pounds. But the rewards are too enticing to ignore -- one big fish can be worth as much as $20,000.

The show's episodes follow each case from the initial investigation until it reaches its legal resolution.
