The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America and the highest professional level of American football in the world. The NFL is one of the most popular professional sports leagues in the world, with fans and players from around the globe. The regular season of the NFL runs from early September to mid December, consisting of 17 weeks of games. Each team plays 16 games out of their respective conference and has one bye week to rest and prepare for the rest of the season. At the end of the regular season, the top six teams from each conference will qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs are single-elimination brackets, which determine the two teams that will play in the championship game, the Super Bowl. The NFL has a long and distinguished history. It was founded in 1920 as the American Professional Football Association before changing its name to the National Football League in 1922. The first Super Bowl was held in 1967 and has since become the most watched sporting event in the world. Legendary players like Tom Brady, Brett Favre, and Lawrence Taylor are considered some of the greatest players in the history of the league. The NFL boasts some of the most successful teams in sports history, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, and the New England Patriots. The NFL is renowned as one of the premier leagues in the world of professional American football, with an emphasis on competitive and thrilling entertainment. The season culminates in a grand finale, the Super Bowl, which has become one of the most prestigious and highly watched events on television. Denver Broncos at New York Jets
NFLThe well-rested Jets (2-1) host rookie Bo Nix and the rejuvenated Broncos (1-2). New York throttled New England 24-3 on Thursday Night Football in Week 3. Nix rushed for a touchdown in winning his first game as Denver dominated Tampa Bay 26-7.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts
NFLThe Steelers (3-0) and their stingy defense roll into a road test against the Colts (1-2). Pittsburgh has yielded an NFL-low 26 points with T.J. Watt collecting a sack in each game. Indianapolis broke through with a 21-16 win over Chicago in Week 3.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans
NFLAFC South rivals share the field as the Texans (2-1) host the Jaguars (0-3) in the Lone Star State. Houston is coming off its first defeat of 2024, falling 34-7 at Minnesota in Week 3. Jacksonville won its past two trips to Space City.
Los Angeles Rams at Chicago Bears
NFLThe Bears (1-2) face the Rams (1-2). In Week 3, Caleb Williams passed for 363 yards and two TDs, but Chicago lost 21-16 at Indianapolis. Los Angeles rallied to beat San Francisco on a last-minute field goal. The Rams have won three straight meetings.
Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
NFLBaker Mayfield and the Buccaneers host the Eagles in a rematch of a 2023 NFC wild-card game. Tampa Bay took a 12-11 series lead after ousting Philadelphia 32-9. Saquon Barkley scored twice in the fourth quarter of Philly's Week 3 win at New Orleans.
Cincinnati Bengals at Carolina Panthers
NFLAndy Dalton leads the Panthers into a clash with his former club in the Bengals. Dalton, who started for Cincinnati from 2011 to 2019, took over for Bryce Young in Week 3 and threw for 319 yards and three scores as Carolina won 36-22 at Las Vegas.
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons
NFLNFC South combatants coming off agonizing losses clash as the Falcons host the Saints. Atlanta had a shot to take down Kansas City, but was denied late in a 22-17 decision. New Orleans took its first loss of the season versus Philadelphia, 15-12.

Baltimore Ravens at Dallas Cowboys
NFLThe Ravens (0-2) limp into Dallas for a game against the Cowboys (1-1). Baltimore followed a 27-20 season-opening loss at Kansas City with a stunning setback against Las Vegas 26-23. Dallas was emphatically upset by New Orleans 44-19 in Week 2.
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
NFLThe Cowboys seek their seventh straight victory over the Giants. Rookie receiver Malik Nabers made a pair of TD catches as New York got its first win of the season, 21-15 at Cleveland. Dallas won the two engagements in 2023 by a combined 89-17 score.
San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams
NFLThe Rams host the 49ers. San Francisco's Christian McCaffrey moved to the injured reserve Sept. 14, while teammate Deebo Samuel is expected to be out multiple weeks with a calf strain. Cooper Kupp (LAR) will miss time with a left-ankle sprain.
Kansas City Chiefs at Atlanta Falcons
NFLThe Chiefs visit the Falcons. Atlanta is in prime time for a second straight week after taming Philadelphia on Sept. 16. Kansas City will be without Isiah Pacheco for at least six weeks after the running back suffered a fractured fibula in Week 2.
