The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America and the highest professional level of American football in the world. The NFL is one of the most popular professional sports leagues in the world, with fans and players from around the globe. The regular season of the NFL runs from early September to mid December, consisting of 17 weeks of games. Each team plays 16 games out of their respective conference and has one bye week to rest and prepare for the rest of the season. At the end of the regular season, the top six teams from each conference will qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs are single-elimination brackets, which determine the two teams that will play in the championship game, the Super Bowl. The NFL has a long and distinguished history. It was founded in 1920 as the American Professional Football Association before changing its name to the National Football League in 1922. The first Super Bowl was held in 1967 and has since become the most watched sporting event in the world. Legendary players like Tom Brady, Brett Favre, and Lawrence Taylor are considered some of the greatest players in the history of the league. The NFL boasts some of the most successful teams in sports history, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, and the New England Patriots. The NFL is renowned as one of the premier leagues in the world of professional American football, with an emphasis on competitive and thrilling entertainment. The season culminates in a grand finale, the Super Bowl, which has become one of the most prestigious and highly watched events on television. The well-rested Jets (2-1) host rookie Bo Nix and the rejuvenated Broncos (1-2). New York throttled New England 24-3 on Thursday Night Football in Week 3. Nix rushed for a touchdown in winning his first game as Denver dominated Tampa Bay 26-7.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts

The Steelers (3-0) and their stingy defense roll into a road test against the Colts (1-2). Pittsburgh has yielded an NFL-low 26 points with T.J. Watt collecting a sack in each game. Indianapolis broke through with a 21-16 win over Chicago in Week 3.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans

AFC South rivals share the field as the Texans (2-1) host the Jaguars (0-3) in the Lone Star State. Houston is coming off its first defeat of 2024, falling 34-7 at Minnesota in Week 3. Jacksonville won its past two trips to Space City.

The Bills host the Jaguars in the first of two contests on the Monday night slate. Buffalo scored the most points of any AFC club through two weeks, with Josh Allen having a part in five touchdowns. Jacksonville beat Buffalo 25-20 in England in 2023.

The Ravens (0-2) limp into Dallas for a game against the Cowboys (1-1). Baltimore followed a 27-20 season-opening loss at Kansas City with a stunning setback against Las Vegas 26-23. Dallas was emphatically upset by New Orleans 44-19 in Week 2.

San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams

The Rams host the 49ers. San Francisco's Christian McCaffrey moved to the injured reserve Sept. 14, while teammate Deebo Samuel is expected to be out multiple weeks with a calf strain. Cooper Kupp (LAR) will miss time with a left-ankle sprain.
