The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America and the highest professional level of American football in the world. The NFL is one of the most popular professional sports leagues in the world, with fans and players from around the globe.\n\nThe regular season of the NFL runs from early September to mid December, consisting of 17 weeks of games. Each team plays 16 games out of their respective conference and has one bye week to rest and prepare for the rest of the season. At the end of the regular season, the top six teams from each conference will qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs are single-elimination brackets, which determine the two teams that will play in the championship game, the Super Bowl.\n\nThe NFL has a long and distinguished history. It was founded in 1920 as the American Professional Football Association before changing its name to the National Football League in 1922. Green Bay Packers vs Philadelphia Eagles
NFLThe NFL International Series reaches South America as the Eagles and Packers square off in Brazil in Week 1. Philadelphia added Saquon Barkley in the offseason, while Green Bay inked quarterback Jordan Love to a four-year, $220 million contract.
Minnesota Vikings at Los Angeles Rams
NFLThe Rams host the Vikings. In Week 7, both teams returned from bye, with Minnesota taking its first loss of the season 31-29 to Detroit, and Los Angeles outlasting Las Vegas 20-15. Kyren Williams (LAR) is tied for the NFL lead with eight rushing TDs.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens
NFLThe Ravens line up with the Steelers. Pittsburgh earned its eighth win in nine tries against Baltimore in Week 11. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson kept his name in the MVP conversation by throwing five TD passes in a win over the Giants in Week 15.
Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills
NFLPatrick Mahomes' Chiefs renew their rivalry with Josh Allen's Bills. The star quarterbacks split the last six meetings with Buffalo winning all three regular-season contests. The Bills stretched their AFC East lead with a fifth-straight win Nov. 10.
Buffalo Bills at Detroit Lions
NFLBuffalo (10-3) visits NFC-leading Detroit (12-1). The Lions have won 11 games in a row for the first time in franchise history after holding off the Packers 34-31 on Dec. 5. The Bills' seven-game run ended with a 44-42 setback to the Rams.
Los Angeles Chargers at Houston Texans
NFLThe Chargers take on the Texans in the AFC wild-card round. Jim Harbaugh returned to the NFL in 2024, leading Los Angeles to an 11-6 record and his fourth postseason appearance. Houston blasted Cleveland 45-14 in the wild-card opener in January 2024.

NFLTeams at opposite ends of the NFC East meet in Week 18 as the Eagles (13-3) host the Giants (3-13). Philadelphia rolled to a 28-3 win over New York in Week 7. Saquon Barkley (PHI) rushed for 176 yards and a TD in his first game against his old club.
Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons
NFLThe NFC South title is at stake as the Falcons host the Panthers, and pull for the Saints. An Atlanta victory, and a Tampa Bay loss to New Orleans, puts the Falcons in the playoffs for the first time since 2017. Atlanta last won the division in 2016.
Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots
NFLThe AFC East champion Bills (13-3) pay a visit to the Patriots (3-13). Buffalo has locked up a No. 2 seed in the playoffs for the third consecutive season. The Bills have won five straight division titles after the Pats claimed the previous 11.
New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
NFLThe Buccaneers look to claim their fourth straight NFC South title as they host the Saints. Tampa Bay regained control of the division when Atlanta lost at Washington in Week 17. Baker Mayfield (TB) leads the NFC with 39 touchdown passes.
Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys
NFLThe Commanders (11-5) gear up for the postseason by visiting the Cowboys (7-9). Jayden Daniels rushed for 127 yards and threw three TD passes, including the overtime winner, as Washington clinched an NFC berth with a prime-time win over Atlanta.
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers
NFLThe playoff-bound Packers seek a 12th straight victory over the hibernating Bears. Green Bay holds the No. 7 seed as the NFC's final wild-card club, but moves to No. 6 with a win and a Washington loss or tie at Dallas. Chicago has lost 10 in a row.
