College football is a sport that has been played for over 150 years. It is one of the most popular and beloved sports in the United States, with hundreds of millions of fans cheering on their favourite college football teams every fall. College football is a game in which teams of student-athletes from universities and colleges compete against each other in an exciting and thrilling battle of offensive and defensive football. The sport consists of 11-on-11 matches, usually played on Saturdays during the fall months in stadiums across America. College football's regular season usually begins in late August or early September and ends in early December. The teams are decided by each school's football conference - e.g. the SEC, the ACC, the Big 12, the Big Ten and more. After the regular season, some teams will be chosen to compete in the post-season playoffs that will decide the national champion. The most popular college football teams in the country are Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Georgia Bulldogs, Oregon Ducks, Florida Gators, Oklahoma Sooners, and LSU Tigers. Some of the most popular current college football players are Justin Fields, Trevor Lawrence, Ian Book, Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts, and Jonathan Taylor. The history of College football is filled with legendary teams and players, such as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Michigan Wolverines, Charles Woodson, and Marcus Mariota. Some of the most memorable games in College Football history include the 1969 ‘Game of the Century’ between the Texas Longhorns and Arkansas Razorbacks, the 2006 Rose Bowl between USC and Texas, and the 2012 BCS National Championship Game between Alabama and Notre Dame. In the end, college football is a game of heart, hard work, and passion. It is an exciting sport that has produced some of the greatest memories and moments in sports history. Boston College at Missouri

The No. 24 Eagles line up with the No. 6 Tigers. Bill O'Brien has moved Boston College into the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2018 after routing FCS Duquesne 56-0. Missouri has yet to allow a point in 2024, shutting out Murray State and Buffalo.

LSU at South Carolina

The Tigers (1-1) try to continue their mastery of the SEC rival Gamecocks (2-0). LSU leads the series 19-2-1 after totaling 243 points in winning the last seven meetings. LSU bounced back from a Week 1 loss to USC with a victory over Nicholls.

San Diego State at California

The Golden Bears (2-0) roll into a matchup with the Aztecs (1-1) in Week 3. Freshman Nyziah Hunter made a pair of touchdown grabs in California's 21-14 upset win at Auburn on Sept. 7. These schools each won at home during a series in 2015 and 2016.

Memphis at Florida State

The reeling Seminoles attempt to regroup as they host the Tigers for a Week 3 contest. Florida State is off to an 0-2 start after tough losses against ACC foes Georgia Tech and Boston College. Memphis is 2-0. These programs last met in 1990.

South Alabama at Appalachian State

The Jaguars roar into this Sun Belt opener versus the Mountaineers. South Alabama scored the most points by an FBS team since 1991 and set a new school record by beating Northwestern State 87-10, despite a shortened fourth quarter, on Sept. 12.

Edward Waters at Benedict

NCAAF

Edward Waters (1-2) seeks revenge on the road when it pays a visit to Benedict (0-2) in a battle of Tigers. In 2023, Benedict escaped Jacksonville, Fla., with a 34-0 triumph over host Edward Waters. Edward Waters is 1-0 in-conference this year.

New Mexico at Auburn

The Tigers (1-1) try to bounce back when they host the Lobos (0-2) in Week 3. Senior quarterback Payton Thorne was picked off four times as Auburn fell to California 21-14. New Mexico dropped a 61-39 decision against then-No. 21 Arizona on Aug. 31.

Ball State at Miami

The No. 10 Hurricanes face the MAC's Cardinals. Miami moved into the top 10 for the first time under Mario Cristobal after dismantling Florida A&M 56-9. Cam Ward (MIA) has six TD passes in two games. Ball State won its opener versus Missouri State.

Alabama at Wisconsin

No. 4 Alabama (2-0) visits Camp Randall Stadium for the first time in 96 years to play Wisconsin (2-0). Alabama has piled up 105 points this season after a 42-16 victory over South Florida. Wisconsin owns a pair of 14-point decisions to start 2024.

Arizona at Kansas State

No. 14 Kansas State and No. 20 Arizona meet in Big 12 play. Kansas State trailed by 10 at halftime at Tulane, but recovered to win 34-27 on Sept. 7. KSU's DJ Giddens, a Junction City, Kan., product, had 177 yards from scrimmage and scored a TD.

Notre Dame at Purdue

The No. 18 Fighting Irish chase a bounce-back effort in this trip to play the Boilermakers. Notre Dame comes off a stunning 16-14 setback to Northern Illinois in its home opener. Purdue has been off since blasting Indiana State 49-0 on Aug. 31.

Oregon at Oregon State

The No. 9 Ducks swim with the Beavers. Oregon fell in the AP Top 25 for a second straight week, but remained in the top 10 after surviving Boise State 37-34 on Sept. 7. Oregon State claimed the last two meetings with Oregon at Reser Stadium.
