College football is a sport that has been played for over 150 years. It is one of the most popular and beloved sports in the United States, with hundreds of millions of fans cheering on their favourite college football teams every fall. College football is a game in which teams of student-athletes from universities and colleges compete against each other in an exciting and thrilling battle of offensive and defensive football. The sport consists of 11-on-11 matches, usually played on Saturdays during the fall months in stadiums across America. College football's regular season usually begins in late August or early September and ends in early December. The teams are decided by each school's football conference - e.g. the SEC, the ACC, the Big 12, the Big Ten and more. After the regular season, some teams will be chosen to compete in the post-season playoffs that will decide the national champion. The most popular college football teams in the country are Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Georgia Bulldogs, Oregon Ducks, Florida Gators, Oklahoma Sooners, and LSU Tigers. The history of College football is filled with legendary teams and players, such as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Michigan Wolverines, Charles Woodson, and Marcus Mariota. Some of the most memorable games in College Football history include the 1969 ‘Game of the Century’ between the Texas Longhorns and Arkansas Razorbacks, the 2006 Rose Bowl between USC and Texas, and the 2012 BCS National Championship Game between Alabama and Notre Dame. Ole Miss at South Carolina

The Rebels (4-1, 0-1 SEC) try to pick up the pieces as they visit the Gamecocks (3-1, 1-1). Ole Miss fell 20-17 to Kentucky on Sept. 28 after Caden Davis missed a game-tying field goal. South Carolina looks to tie up the all-time series at 9-9.

Duke at Georgia Tech

The Blue Devils visit the Yellow Jackets. On Sept. 28, Duke erased a 20-0 deficit by scoring 21 unanswered to capture the Victory Bell versus North Carolina. The Devils are off to their first 5-0 start since 1994. Georgia Tech is 2-0 at home.

Army at Tulsa

The Black Knights visit the Golden Hurricane. Army is 4-0 for the second time in four years after dominating Temple 42-14 on Sept. 26. Senior Army quarterback Bryson Daily has passed for three touchdowns and rushed for eight more scores this year.

The Cardinal make their first trip to Death Valley to face the No. 17 Tigers. Stanford needed a last-second field goal by Emmet Kenney to seal its first ACC victory 26-24 at Syracuse in Week 4. Clemson won its conference opener 59-35 versus NC State.

The Bobcats (2-2, 0-0 Sun Belt) make a trip to play the Trojans (1-4, 0-1). Texas State's offense is guided by well-traveled quarterback Jordan McCloud's arm, as the former South Florida, Arizona and James Madison quarterback boasts 12 TD passes.

Sam Houston State at Texas-El Paso

The Bearkats (4-1, 1-0 CUSA) cross the Lone Star State to take on the Miners (0-4, 0-1). Last year, Sam Houston's campaign reached its nadir as it lost 37-34 to UTEP to fall to 0-8 on the season. The Bearkats have won seven of nine games since.

North Carolina at Duke

The Blue Devils (4-0) and Tar Heels (3-1) play for the Victory Bell in an ACC opener. North Carolina has won five in a row over Duke after a 47-45 double-overtime thriller in 2023. UNC dropped another shootout in Week 4, 70-50 versus James Madison.

Western Kentucky at Boston College

The Hilltoppers head for the Heights to fly with the Eagles for the first time. Western Kentucky rides a three-game win streak since a season-opening 63-0 loss to Alabama. Boston College also sits 3-1 following a 23-19 victory over Michigan State.

The Seminoles visit the Mustangs. Florida State snapped a surprising three-game skid to begin 2024 by outlasting California 14-9 in Week 4. Brashard Smith scored four times to help SMU capture a wild Iron Skillet matchup with TCU, 66-42 on Sept. 21.
