College football is a sport that has been played for over 150 years. It is one of the most popular and beloved sports in the United States, with hundreds of millions of fans cheering on their favourite college football teams every fall. College football is a game in which teams of student-athletes from universities and colleges compete against each other in an exciting and thrilling battle of offensive and defensive football. The sport consists of 11-on-11 matches, usually played on Saturdays during the fall months in stadiums across America. College football's regular season usually begins in late August or early September and ends in early December. The teams are decided by each school's football conference - e.g. the SEC, the ACC, the Big 12, the Big Ten and more. After the regular season, some teams will be chosen to compete in the post-season playoffs that will decide the national champion. Some of the most memorable games in College Football history include the 1969 ‘Game of the Century’ between the Texas Longhorns and Arkansas Razorbacks, the 2006 Rose Bowl between USC and Texas, and the 2012 BCS National Championship Game between Alabama and Notre Dame. The No. 5 Bulldogs run into the No. 1 Longhorns. Texas improved to 6-0 for the first time in 15 years following a 34-3 romp of Oklahoma in the Red River Showdown. Quinn Ewers returned at quarterback Oct. 12, sending Arch Manning back to the bench.

Florida State at Duke

The Seminoles try to stay perfect against the ACC adversary Blue Devils with a 23rd consecutive series victory. Duke suffered its first loss of the season, 24-14 at Georgia Tech on Oct. 5. Florida State has struggled to a 1-5 record in 2024.

Liberty at Kennesaw State

The Owls deal with the Flames. Liberty exits its bye as one of 10 remaining undefeated teams in FBS at 5-0. Flames running back Quinton Cooley is averaging 109 rushing yards per game while boasting six TDs. Kennesaw State seeks its first win of 2024.

Middle Tennessee State at Jacksonville State

The Gamecocks charge into battle with the Blue Raiders. Jacksonville State has piled up 161 points during its three-game winning streak. Gamecocks running back Tre Stewart scored nine touchdowns in that span, rushing for 348 yards in the process.

Texas A&M at Mississippi State

The No. 14 Aggies (5-1, 3-0) ride a five-game win streak into their SEC battle with the Bulldogs (1-5, 0-3). Texas A&M comes off a 41-10 mauling of then-No. 9 Missouri on Oct. 5 behind career highs of 138 rushing yards and three TDs Le'Veon Moss.

LSU at Arkansas

The Razorbacks (4-2, 2-1 SEC) host the No. 8 Tigers (5-1, 2-0). Both programs are coming off statement victories, with Arkansas knocking off then-No. 4 Tennessee 19-14 on Oct. 5, and LSU defeating then-No. 9 Ole Miss in overtime one week later.

NC State at California

The revamped ACC offers a first-time meeting between the Golden Bears and Wolfpack. California is 0-3 in its new conference following a tough-luck 17-15 decision at then-No. 22 Pittsburgh in Week 7. NC State is also winless through three ACC tries.

SMU at Stanford

Shedeur Sanders and the Buffaloes challenge the Wildcats. On Oct. 12, Colorado nearly came back to upset then-No. 18 Kansas State, but ended up losing 31-28 to fall to 4-2 on the year. Sanders has thrown for 2,018 yards and 17 touchdowns this season.

Nebraska at Indiana

The No. 16 Hoosiers seek their first 7-0 start since 1967 as they host the Cornhuskers for a Big Ten game. Indiana is second nationally at 47.5 points per contest. Hoosiers senior Kurtis Rourke has passed for 1,752 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Auburn at Missouri

Two of the SEC's Tigers tangle as No. 19 Missouri (5-1, 1-1) hosts Auburn (2-4, 0-3). Missouri rebounded from a 41-10 loss at then-No. 25 Texas A&M with a 45-3 win at UMass last week. Auburn is 3-0 in the series since Missouri joined the SEC in 2012.
