College football is a sport that has been played for over 150 years. It is one of the most popular and beloved sports in the United States, with hundreds of millions of fans cheering on their favourite college football teams every fall. College football is a game in which teams of student-athletes from universities and colleges compete against each other in an exciting and thrilling battle of offensive and defensive football. The sport consists of 11-on-11 matches, usually played on Saturdays during the fall months in stadiums across America. College football's regular season usually begins in late August or early September and ends in early December. The teams are decided by each school's football conference - e.g. the SEC, the ACC, the Big 12, the Big Ten and more. After the regular season, some teams will be chosen to compete in the post-season playoffs that will decide the national champion. Some of the most memorable games in College Football history include the 1969 ‘Game of the Century’ between the Texas Longhorns and Arkansas Razorbacks, the 2006 Rose Bowl between USC and Texas, and the 2012 BCS National Championship Game between Alabama and Notre Dame. The Wolverines and Huskies play for the College Football Playoff title. The programs, who will be Big Ten rivals in 2024, are 14-0 for the first time. Michigan outlasted Alabama 27-20 in overtime in the semifinals. Washington survived Texas 37-31.

Ole Miss at Alabama

The No. 15 Rebels face the No. 13 Crimson Tide in an SEC opener. Alabama fell from the top-10 rankings for the first time since 2015 despite a 17-3 win at South Florida in Week 3. Ole Miss moved to 3-0 with a strong second half against Georgia Tech.

Alabama at Texas A&M

The No. 11 Crimson Tide pay the Aggies a visit. Both clubs have won their past three games to move to 4-1 with a 2-0 mark in SEC play on the year. In 2022, Alabama beat Texas A&M 24-20 behind three touchdown passes in a spot start from Jalen Milroe.

Vanderbilt at Wake Forest

The Demon Deacons and Commodores look to continue their winning ways. Vanderbilt improved to 2-0 by beating Alabama A&M 47-13 on Sept. 2. Jahmal Banks made six catches for 108 yards and a touchdown to help Wake Forest defeat Elon 37-17 in its opener.

Miami at NC State

The Wolfpack try to nail down bowl eligibility when they host the Hurricanes. Miami has won four straight over NC State after earning a one-point decision in 2021. The Hurricanes have won back-to-back overtime contests to even their ACC record.

NC State at Virginia Tech

The Hokies (5-5, 4-2) try to solve the stingy Wolfpack (7-3, 4-2) defense in an ACC match. NC State has allowed a league-low 87 points through six conference contests. Virginia Tech coughed up an 18-point lead in a one-point loss to NC State in 2022.

North Carolina at NC State

The Tar Heels take a trip down Tobacco Road to face the Wolfpack. North Carolina leads the series 68-38-6. NC State won 30-27 in overtime in 2022. Entering Week 13, Heels sophomore Drake Maye was sixth nationally with 3,354 passing yards.

California at UCLA

The Golden Bears become bowl-eligible with a victory over the Bruins in a Pac-12 game. UCLA has won three straight meetings. California has won two in a row for the first time this season following a 27-15 triumph over Stanford in the Big Game.

California at North Texas

North Texas makes its American Athletic Conference debut by hosting California. The Mean Green went 7-5 during their final year in Conference USA before losing the title game and Frisco Bowl. The Golden Bears took down the Mean Green 23-17 in 2019.

Georgia Tech vs UCF

The Knights bid for a third Gasparilla Bowl victory in five years as they face the Yellow Jackets in Tampa, Fla. Both teams are 6-6. UCF beat Georgia Tech 27-10 in 2022 behind quarterback John Rhys Plumlee's 100 rushing yards and a touchdown.

LSU vs Florida State

A marquee matchup pits the No. 5 Tigers against the No. 8 Seminoles. Florida State capped a thrilling finish by blocking the game-tying kick at the buzzer to hold off LSU 24-23 in Week 1 last year. LSU went 10-4 in its first season under Brian Kelly.
