College football is a sport that has been played for over 150 years. It is one of the most popular and beloved sports in the United States, with hundreds of millions of fans cheering on their favourite college football teams every fall. College football is a game in which teams of student-athletes from universities and colleges compete against each other in an exciting and thrilling battle of offensive and defensive football. The sport consists of 11-on-11 matches, usually played on Saturdays during the fall months in stadiums across America. College football's regular season usually begins in late August or early September and ends in early December. The teams are decided by each school's football conference - e.g. the SEC, the ACC, the Big 12, the Big Ten and more. After the regular season, some teams will be chosen to compete in the post-season playoffs that will decide the national champion. The most popular college football teams in the country are Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Georgia Bulldogs, Oregon Ducks, Florida Gators, Oklahoma Sooners, and LSU Tigers. The history of College football is filled with legendary teams and players, such as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Michigan Wolverines, Charles Woodson, and Marcus Mariota. Some of the most memorable games in College Football history include the 1969 ‘Game of the Century’ between the Texas Longhorns and Arkansas Razorbacks, the 2006 Rose Bowl between USC and Texas, and the 2012 BCS National Championship Game between Alabama and Notre Dame. The Mustangs (9-2, 7-0 American) try to cap off a perfect league schedule as they host the Midshipmen (5-5, 4-3). Navy can clinch bowl eligibility with an upset victory, but will get another opportunity in the traditional game against Army on Dec. 9.

Kentucky at South Carolina

Spencer Rattler leads the upstart Gamecocks (4-6, 2-5) into this SEC matchup against the Wildcats (6-4, 3-4). Rattler has passed for 750 yards and five touchdowns in leading South Carolina to back-to-back wins, and rushed for a TD in each contest.

Duke at North Carolina

The No. 24 Tar Heels (7-2, 3-2) and Blue Devils (6-3, 3-2) try to keep their flickering ACC title hopes alive. North Carolina has won four straight meetings. Tar Heels sophomore quarterback Drake Maye is fourth nationally with 2,803 passing yards.

North Carolina vs South Carolina

The Duke's Mayo Classic sees the No. 21 Tar Heels battle the Gamecocks for Carolina supremacy. The schools met in the 2021 Duke's Mayo Bowl, with South Carolina earning a 38-21 win over North Carolina. Spencer Rattler returns to pilot the Gamecocks.

Miami at North Carolina

The No. 25 Hurricanes try to put the past behind them by facing the No. 12 Tar Heels. A late blunder versus Georgia Tech on Oct. 7 ended Miami's perfect season. North Carolina improved to 5-0 behind 442 passing yards from Drake Maye versus Syracuse.

Tennessee at Missouri

The No. 13 Volunteers visit the No. 14 Tigers in a clash of teams sitting 7-2, 3-2 in the SEC. The Vols have won four straight meetings. Missouri put up a valiant effort last week but fell at undefeated Georgia 30-21. Tennessee routed UConn 59-3.

Texas A&M at Miami

The Hurricanes host the No. 23 Aggies seeking retribution for an upset loss in 2022. Texas A&M kept Miami out of the end zone to secure a 17-9 win over the higher-ranked Hurricanes on Sept. 17, 2022. Both clubs won their 2023 openers convincingly.

Vanderbilt at Wake Forest

The Demon Deacons and Commodores look to continue their winning ways. Vanderbilt improved to 2-0 by beating Alabama A&M 47-13 on Sept. 2. Jahmal Banks made six catches for 108 yards and a touchdown to help Wake Forest defeat Elon 37-17 in its opener.

Pittsburgh at Wake Forest

The Panthers visit the Demon Deacons in a rematch of the 2021 ACC championship game. Pittsburgh beat Wake Forest 45-21. Pitt snapped a four-game slide by outscoring then-No. 14 Louisville 24-0 in the second half of a 38-21 victory on Oct. 14.

SMU at Memphis

The Mustangs (8-2, 6-0 American) try to keep rolling when they pay a visit to the Tigers (8-2, 5-1). SMU has won six in a row, while Memphis is riding a four-game run. The programs traded one-score decisions in each of their last four meetings.
