College football's regular season usually begins in late August or early September and ends in early December. After the regular season, some teams will be chosen to compete in the post-season playoffs that will decide the national champion. North Carolina at NC State

The Tar Heels take a trip down Tobacco Road to face the Wolfpack. North Carolina leads the series 68-38-6. NC State won 30-27 in overtime in 2022. Entering Week 13, Heels sophomore Drake Maye was sixth nationally with 3,354 passing yards.

Ohio State vs Georgia

The No. 1 Bulldogs face the No. 4 Buckeyes in a College Football Playoff semifinal. Defending champion Georgia earned a 50-30 win over LSU for the SEC title. Ohio State reached the final in 2021, and won during the first year of the CFP in 2014.

TCU vs Georgia

No. 1 Georgia (14-0) tries for a second straight national title as it faces No. 3 TCU (13-1) in the College Football Playoff final. Georgia survived the semifinal thanks to a missed field-goal try by Ohio State, while TCU trumped Michigan to advance.

Iowa vs Tennessee

The No. 17 Hawkeyes play the No. 21 Volunteers in the Citrus Bowl. Tennessee is 5-1 in the postseason since 2014, a stretch that began with a win over Iowa in the Gator Bowl. Iowa, 4-1 in bowls since 2017, was shut out in the Big Ten title game.

Clemson at Miami

The Tigers (4-2, 2-2 ACC) try to stay strong against the Hurricanes (4-2, 0-2). Clemson claimed the last four meetings, including a 40-10 home victory over Miami in 2022. Miami fell short against then-No. 12 North Carolina in its last outing.

Florida State vs Georgia Tech

The premier matchup in Week 0 of the NCAA football season sees the No. 10 Seminoles face the Yellow Jackets. Florida State added former Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei as a graduate transfer from Oregon State to help defend its ACC championship.

Montana State at New Mexico

New Mexico hosts Montana State in a North American opener in Albuquerque, N.M. The Lobos hired Bronco Mendenhall, who was a UNM coordinator from 1998-2002, as head coach Dec. 6, 2023. Montana State lost in the second round of the 2023 FCS playoffs.

Duke at North Carolina

The No. 24 Tar Heels (7-2, 3-2) and Blue Devils (6-3, 3-2) try to keep their flickering ACC title hopes alive. North Carolina has won four straight meetings. Tar Heels sophomore quarterback Drake Maye is fourth nationally with 2,803 passing yards.

Miami at North Carolina

The No. 25 Hurricanes try to put the past behind them by facing the No. 12 Tar Heels. A late blunder versus Georgia Tech on Oct. 7 ended Miami's perfect season. North Carolina improved to 5-0 behind 442 passing yards from Drake Maye versus Syracuse.
