\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Wichita State at Memphis

PJ Haggerty and the No. 24 Tigers (14-4, 4-1 American) host the Shockers (11-7, 1-4). Haggerty, a sophomore guard, is among the nation's leading scorers at 22.1 points per outing. Wichita State snapped an eight-game slide against Memphis last season.

Samford at UT-Chattanooga

The Bulldogs (15-4, 5-1) visit the Mocs (12-7, 4-2) in a clash of Southern Conference contenders. Samford's 28-game home win streak was stopped by East Tennessee State 65-60 on Jan. 18. Bash Wieland paces Chattanooga with 13.4 points per game.

The Hilltoppers (11-7, 2-3 C-USA) travel to Ruston, La., to face the Bulldogs (13-6, 2-4). The visiting team won each game during the 2023-24 season series. Louisiana Tech guard Sean Newman Jr. is among the nation's leaders with 9.3 assists per game.

The Red Wolves host the Mountaineers. App State has won its last five, while Arkansas State's win streak stands at three. The Wolves won the last meeting 67-65 in the semifinals of the 2024 Sun Belt Tournament, taking out the top-seeded Mountaineers.

The Lobos try to pick up a fourth straight win over the Bulldogs. New Mexico cracked 100 points for the third time this season when it rolled past Fresno State on New Year's Eve in 2024. Mustapha Amzil and CJ Roland (UNM) scored 23 points in the win.

Georgetown at Villanova

The Wildcats (12-7, 5-3 Big East) host the Hoyas (12-6, 3-4). Villanova ended a two-game skid by topping Providence 75-73 on Jan. 17, while Georgetown gave DePaul its first conference win since the 2023 Big East Tournament's first round, 73-68.

Bucknell at Colgate

The Raiders return to Hamilton, N.Y., to host the Bison. Noah Williamson recorded a 20-point double-double to help Bucknell snap a nine-game slide against Colgate in a 66-60 decision Jan. 5. The Raiders are 5-2 on Cotterell Court this season.

Hampton at North Carolina A&T

The Aggies (4-15, 0-6 CAA) try to halt a five-game slide as they host the Pirates (9-9, 2-4). Hampton looks for the season sweep of North Carolina A&T after junior guard George Beale Jr.'s 25 points off the bench keyed an 82-71 Pirates victory.

Boston College at Virginia

The Cavaliers try to continue their success against the Eagles in an ACC affair. Virginia has won two consecutive meetings, and 12 of the last 14. The Cavaliers also boast an eight-game win streak against the Eagles at John Paul Jones Arena.

Butler at Connecticut

The Bulldogs run with the No. 19 Huskies. Butler prevailed over Seton Hall 82-77 on Jan. 15, ending a nine-game drought. Bulldogs forward Pierre Brooks II had 19 points in the victory. UConn has dropped two its past three after losing to Creighton.
