\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Nevada at New Mexico
NCAAMThe Lobos try to continue their recent mastery of the Mountain West foe Wolf Pack. New Mexico swept a pair of meetings against Nevada in 2023-24 for the first time since 2013-14. The Lobos are 7-1 at home this season, losing to New Mexico State.
Creighton at Marquette
NCAAMThe Bluejays travel to the Cream City for a Big East clash with the No. 8 Golden Eagles. The teams split their 2023-24 season series, with Marquette defending home court against Creighton 72-67. Kam Jones (MARQ) averaged 17.5 points in those games.
Michigan State at Ohio State
NCAAMThe No. 18 Spartans and Buckeyes dive back into Big Ten play. Michigan State is 2-0 after beating breezing past Minnesota and Nebraska. Hometown sophomore Devin Royal has scored 40 points across Ohio State's first two conference games this season.
Iowa at Wisconsin
NCAAMThe Hawkeyes and Badgers pick up their Big Ten campaigns with a match in Madison. Iowa snapped a four-game series slide with an 88-86 victory in overtime last season. Six-foot-5 senior guard John Tonje paces Wisconsin with 19.2 points per outing.
Florida at Kentucky
NCAAMThe No. 6 Gators (13-0) visit the No. 10 Wildcats (11-2) for a marquee SEC opener. Florida is off to the second-best start in program history behind the 2005-06 squad that began 17-0. The Gators stopped a five-game series slide last season.
North Carolina at Notre Dame
NCAAMThe Tar Heels move from Northern Kentucky to Northern Indiana for an ACC game with the Fighting Irish. North Carolina blasted Notre Dame 84-51 last season behind RJ Davis' 22 points and six assists. The Irish are 6-1 at Purcell Pavilion this season.
Georgia at Ole Miss
NCAAMThe No. 24 Rebels host the Bulldogs as both teams begin their SEC schedules. Georgia led for nearly the entirety of its 69-66 win over Ole Miss in 2023-24. Ole Miss had won five straight games until an 87-70 setback at Memphis to close out 2024.
Boston College at Georgia Tech
NCAAMThe Yellow Jackets (7-7, 1-2 ACC) fly with the Eagles (9-5, 1-2). Boston College won 95-87 last season, ending a five-game skid versus Georgia Tech. Baye Ndongo (GT), a 6-foot-9 forward from Senegal, posted an 18-point double-double in that loss.

Marquette at Providence
NCAAMThe No. 8 Golden Eagles (11-2, 2-0 Big East) head east to face the Friars (7-6, 1-1). Marquette won the rubber match of 2023-24 by knocking Providence out of the Big East Tournament in the semifinals as Kam Jones's 23 points keyed a 79-68 win.
FDU at Boston College
NCAAMThe Eagles (7-5) share the floor with the Knights (4-10). Both teams lost their last contest before the holiday break. Boston College's Donald Hand Jr. matched his career high with 22 points in that loss, bumping his points-per-game average to 14.2.
Campbell at North Carolina
NCAAMThe Fighting Camels (5-7, 0-0 CAA) challenge the Tar Heels (7-5, 1-0 ACC) in Chapel Hill, N.C. North Carolina has won three of its last four contests following a two-point victory over then-No. 18 UCLA at the CBS Sports Classic on Dec. 21.
Miami at Boston College
NCAAMInterim coach Bill Courtney takes over as his Hurricanes visit the Eagles. Jim Larrañaga announced his retirement on Dec. 26, 2024. The 75-year-old went 716-483 in 39 years, leading Miami (2023) and George Mason (2006) to the Final Four.
UNC-Greensboro at Wofford
NCAAMThe Spartans (7-6, 0-0 Southern) cross the state line to take on the Terriers (6-7, 0-0). UNC Greensboro took both meetings from Wofford last season by a combined 34 points. Jalen Breath (UNCG) averaged 10 points and eight rebounds in those wins.
