\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

The Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets return to action following the holiday break. Georgia Tech fell to 5-4 at McCamish Pavilion this season after an 82-56 loss to then-No. 5 Duke on Dec. 21. Alabama A&M lost a fifth straight game that same day.

The Eagles (7-5) share the floor with the Knights (4-10). Both teams lost their last contest before the holiday break. Boston College's Donald Hand Jr. matched his career high with 22 points in that loss, bumping his points-per-game average to 14.2.

The Spartans (10-2) seek a season-high sixth-straight victory as they host the Broncos (3-8). The last meeting between these schools in 2021 saw Michigan State blow the doors off Western Michigan by 44 points. The Spartans are a perfect 6-0 at home.

Columbia at Rutgers

The Scarlet Knights and Lions play their last match in 2024. Rutgers aims to avoid back-to-back losses to Ivy League schools after falling 83-82 to Princeton on Dec. 21. Dylan Harper (RUTG) has scored in double digits in all 12 games he has played.

Presbyterian at South Carolina

The Blue Hose (7-7) take on the Gamecocks (9-3). South Carolina has won six in a row. The Gamecocks are led by NBA draft prospect Colin Murray-Boyles, averaging 16.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. SC topped Presbyterian 68-57 on Dec. 11, 2022.

Cincinnati at Kansas State

The Bearcats (10-1) begin their second season in the Big 12 by visiting the Wildcats (6-5). Cincinnati bested Kansas State 74-72 last campaign. Simas Lukosius, Cincy's leading scorer in 2024-25, hit a game-winning 3-pointer with 10.6 seconds left.

The Hoyas (10-2) ride a three-game win streak into their contest against the Eagles (1-12). Georgetown leads the all-time series 5-0 following a 71-54 victory last season. Coppin State comes off a 68-60 triumph over Navy that snapped a 25-game slide.

North Carolina Central at North Carolina A&T

The Eagles zip across Interstate 85 to play the Aggies. The in-state foes renewed their rivalry last December after two seasons off, with North Carolina Central winning 67-62. Po'Boigh King, NC Central's leading scorer, had seven points that day.
