NCAAM
College Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. Each NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. NCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. Overall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

NCAAMThe Penguins pop up to play the Buckeyes at the Schottenstein Center. Ohio State won its season opener 80-72 against then-No. 19 Texas at the Hall of Fame Series in Las Vegas. Junior Buckeyes guard Bruce Thornton scored 20 points with five assists.
McNeese State at Alabama
NCAAMThe Crimson Tide host the Cowboys. Alabama let Arkansas State play close, but prevailed 88-79 on Nov. 8. Mark Sears led the Tide in scoring for a second time, netting 19 points. McNeese comes off a 54-point win over the College of Biblical Studies.
Western Michigan at Butler
NCAAMThe Bulldogs chase a bounce-back performance when they host the Broncos. Butler fell 68-66 to Austin Peay in its last game despite Patrick McCaffrey's 23 points and eight rebounds. Western Michigan comes off a win over Division II member Davenport.
Yale at Purdue
NCAAMThe Boilermakers (2-0) welcome a challenge from the Ivy League's Bulldogs (1-1). Fletcher Loyer has scored 37 points through Purdue's two victories. The schools last met in the first round of March Madness in 2022, with Purdue thumping Yale 78-56.
Central Michigan at Marquette
NCAAMThe Marquette Challenge continues as the Chippewas (1-1) step up to the Golden Eagles (2-0). Kam Jones averaged 28 points in Marquette's wins over Stony Brook and George Mason. Central Michigan lost 73-72 to Stony Brook on a last-second layup.

Army at Duke
NCAAMThe No. 7 Blue Devils host the Black Knights. Five-star freshman Cooper Flagg debuted for Duke with 18 points in a win over Maine, which is just down the road from Cooper's hometown of Newport. Flagg is the projected No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA draft.
IU-Indianapolis at Xavier
NCAAMThe Musketeers share the court with the Jaguars. Xavier won its season opener 78-69 over Texas Southern. Musketeers senior Zach Freemantle, who missed the entire 2023-24 season recovering from foot surgery, had a 19-point double-double in his return.
Boston College vs VCU
NCAAMThe Rams (1-0) and Eagles (1-0) hit the court for the Veterans Classic at Alumni Hall in Annapolis, Md. This is the second time the schools have met on a neutral court after VCU defeated Boston College 69-50 at the Barclays Center on Dec. 28, 2013.
Maryland-Baltimore County at Penn State
NCAAMThe Retrievers run into University Park, Pa., for a game with the Nittany Lions. Zach Hicks scored 22 points to help Penn State beat Binghamton 108-66 in its season opener. Maryland-Baltimore County comes off a 95-66 win over Penn State-York.
Austin Peay State at Butler
NCAAMThe Governors (1-0) head into Hinkle Fieldhouse to square off with the Bulldogs (1-0). Butler began the campaign with a grinding 72-65 victory over Missouri State on Nov. 4. Canadian forward Jahmyl Telfort (BUT) filled the statsheet with 29 points.
Mount St. Mary's at Maryland
NCAAMDerik Queen and the Terrapins (1-0) face the Mountaineers (1-0). Queen, a 6-foot-10 freshman from Baltimore, posted 22 points and 20 rebounds in his debut as Maryland defeated Manhattan 79-49 on Nov. 4. Maryland is 11-0 versus Mount St. Mary's.
