NCAAM
College Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. Each NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. NCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. Overall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

UC Riverside at Santa Clara
NCAAMThe No. 2 Broncos and the Highlanders meet in the NIT's first round. Santa Clara thumped UC Riverside 96-54 on Nov. 19, 2024. Santa Clara appeared in the 2022 and 2023 NITs, losing its opener each time. UC Riverside competes in its first NIT.
Florida Atlantic vs Dayton
NCAAMThe Flyers, despite being a No. 1 seed, visit the Owls for an NIT first-round game. UD Arena is serving as host of the NCAA Tournament First Four games. Dayton has won three NITs, the last in 2010. Florida Atlantic reached the 2023 NCAA Final Four.
Northern Iowa at SMU
NCAAMThe No. 1 seed Mustangs take on Tytan Anderson and the Panthers in the first round of the NIT. Anderson, a first-team Missouri Valley Conference pick, averages 15.5 points per contest. SMU is 23-10 and finished 13-7 in its first ACC campaign.
Loyola-Chicago at San Jose State
NCAAMThe No. 4 Spartans (15-19) and Ramblers (22-11) match up in the first round of the NIT. Loyola Chicago is 10-3 since Feb. 1 after going down to VCU in the Atlantic 10 Tournament semifinals. Josh Uduje leads San José State with 16.3 points per game.
Utah Valley at San Francisco
NCAAMThe first round of the NIT wraps up with the Wolverines visiting the No. 1 Dons. Utah Valley's 10-game win streak ended with a loss to Grand Canyon in the Western Athletic Conference final. San Francisco seeks its first win at the NIT since 2005.
Tennessee vs Florida
NCAAMThe No. 2 Gators (29-4) seek atonement in the SEC Tournament final against the No. 4 Volunteers (27-6). Florida reached the 2024 title game but fell 86-67 to Auburn, leaving it without a crown since 2014. The teams split their regular-season series.
Creighton vs Louisville
NCAAMThe No. 8 Cardinals battle the No. 9 Bluejays in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Louisville (ACC) and Creighton (Big East) lost their respective conference title games. Ryan Kalkbrenner (CREI) averages 19.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.
Alabama State vs Auburn
NCAAMNo. 16 Alabama State challenges in-state power No. 1 Auburn in the NCAA Tournament's first round. The Tigers ended with losses in three of their last four games. Alabama State used a Hail Mary toss to defeat St. Francis (Pa.) 70-68 in the First Four.

Louisville vs Duke
NCAAMThe No. 1 Blue Devils seek their 23rd ACC Tournament crown in the final against the No. 2 Cardinals. By contrast, Louisville is in its first ACC title game. Duke knocked out 18-time champ North Carolina in the semifinals without star Cooper Flagg.
Yale vs Cornell
NCAAMThe No. 1 Bulldogs (21-7) seek their fourth victory in five Ivy League Tournament finals as they play the No. 2 Big Red (18-10). Defending champion Yale won 15 of its past 16 overall. Cornell has won five in a row since losing to Yale on Feb. 21.
George Mason vs VCU
NCAAMThe No. 1 Rams (27-6) face the No. 2 Patriots (26-7) for the Atlantic 10 Tournament title. VCU has won 11 of its last 12, and makes its ninth finals appearance in 12 attempts. George Mason has won four straight, but lost to VCU 70-54 on Feb. 22.
Alabama-Birmingham vs Memphis
NCAAMThe No. 3 Blazers take on the No. 1 Tigers in the American Athletic Conference Tournament final. UAB defends its 2024 title, while Memphis seeks a second crown in three years. Memphis has won 15 of its past 16, which includes two victories over UAB.
Wisconsin vs Michigan
NCAAMThe No. 3 Wolverines and No. 5 Badgers battle in the Big Ten Tournament championship game. John Tonje's incredible tournament run continued with 32 points in Wisconsin's semifinal upset of top-seed Michigan State, while Michigan eliminated Maryland.
Creighton vs St. John's
NCAAMThe No. 1 Red Storm look for history when they face the No. 2 Bluejays in the Big East Tournament final. St. John's seeks its first tournament crown since Bootsy Thornton led the 2000 team to glory. Creighton is 0-4 in previous Big East final trips.
Cal State Northridge at Stanford
NCAAMThe No. 2 seed Cardinal welcome the Matadors to the Farm for an NIT first-round game. Stanford has won all seven meetings after an 88-79 victory in 2023. The Cardinal, three-time NIT champions, are 20-13, and went 11-9 in their first ACC season.
Wichita State at Oklahoma State
NCAAMThe No. 4 seed Cowboys renew acquaintances with the Shockers in the NIT's opening round. Wichita State has won three of the last five meetings, but Oklahoma State leads the series 32-11 after a 59-49 victory in 2022. The Shockers won the 2011 NIT.
