\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

The Golden Gophers face the Terrapins in Big Ten action. Last season, Minnesota snapped a 10-game slide against Maryland with a 65-62 victory. Dawson Garcia (MINN) filled the statsheet with 11 points, six rebounds, three steals and two blocks.

Boston College at Notre Dame

The Fighting Irish try to snap a four-game slide against the Eagles when they meet in Indiana. Boston College eked out a pair of wins over Notre Dame by a combined seven points last season to keep its win streak against the Fighting Irish alive.

American at Loyola (Md.)

The Eagles run with the Greyhounds. Loyola Maryland's 44-43 verdict over American University on Feb. 7, 2024, was the lowest winning score by any team in 2023-24, in addition to it being the lowest game total of any D-I contest last season.

Campbell at Elon

The Fighting Camels (7-9, 2-1 CAA) meet the Phoenix (11-5, 2-1) for a Tar Heel State duel. Campbell won both meetings against Elon last season, its first in the Coastal Athletic Association. Jasin Sinani (CAM) averaged 13.5 points in those games.

Kent State at Buffalo

The Golden Flashes (10-4, 1-1 MAC) aim to continue their run against the Bulls (5-9, 0-2). Kent State has won five straight over Buffalo. Jalen Sullinger (KENT), nephew of former NBA player Jared, averaged 23.5 points in the two 2023-24 victories.

Pittsburgh at Duke

The No. 4 Blue Devils (12-2, 4-0) host the Panthers (12-2, 3-0) for an ACC contest. Last season, Pittsburgh scored just its third win in 14 tries against Duke since joining the ACC. Duke has won eight in a row, while Pitt has claimed five straight.

The Terrapins look to give the No. 22 Bruins a rude East Coast welcome in this Big Ten match. The clubs split a home-and-home series played over the previous two campaigns. Sebastian Mack scored 17 points in UCLA's 69-60 loss to Maryland last season.

The Rockets (8-6, 2-0 MAC) host the Chippewas (6-8, 0-2). Toledo looks to complete a sweep of the Great Lake State MAC schools after beating Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan. Sam Lewis (TOL) is averaging 16.5 points per game across his past six.
