NCAAM

College Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. Each NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. NCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. Overall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

The Bulls (3-2) and Blue Raiders (4-1) clash in the semifinals of the 2024 Myrtle Beach Invitational. South Florida has won three in a row after dumping Portland in its opener. Jestin Porter's 24 points helped Middle Tennessee past Ohio in overtime.

Seton Hall vs Vanderbilt

The Commodores (5-0) face the Pirates (3-2) in a Charleston Classic semifinal. Vanderbilt is at 5-0 for the first time since 2015-16 after surviving a late Nevada comeback attempt for a 73-71 win. Seton Hall needed overtime to knock off VCU, 69-66.

Pittsburgh vs LSU

The Panthers (5-0) and Tigers (3-0) tangle in the Greenbrier Tip-Off Mountain Division semifinals. The winner plays UCF or Wisconsin for the title. LSU senior guard Cam Carter averages 17.8 points per game, and shoots 57.1% from 3-point range.

The No. 19 Badgers brace for the Knights in the Greenbrier Tip-Off Mountain Division semifinals. The winner meets LSU or Pittsburgh for the championship. Senior guard John Tonje's 22.6 points per game have played a big part in Wisconsin's 5-0 start.

Campbell at Ohio State

The Buckeyes (3-1) tussle with the Fighting Camels (3-2). Ohio State comes off its largest margin of victory in nearly 10 years, beating Evansville by 50 points Nov. 19. Devin Royal (OSU) provided a 20-point double-double, the first of his career.

Southern Illinois at Florida

The Salukis (2-2) head to the Sunshine State for a date with the unbeaten No. 21 Gators (5-0). Southern Illinois seeks its first victory over an SEC opponent since taking down Mississippi State 63-49 in the semifinals of the 2007 Anaheim Classic.

Texas Tech vs Syracuse

The Orange (3-1) and Red Raiders (4-1) meet in the Legends Classic third-place game. JT Toppin, the younger brother of Indiana Pacers forward Obi Toppin, leads Texas Tech with 20.8 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. Syracuse fell 70-66 to Texas.

The Friars complete a five-game season-opening homestand by hosting the Hornets. Providence beat Green Bay 79-65 on Nov. 16 to move to 4-0 for the second time in four seasons. Delaware State seeks its first win over Div-I competition in 2024-25.

Cleveland State at Minnesota

The Vikings (3-2) make the trip to the Land of 10,000 Lakes to play the Golden Gophers (3-1). Minnesota bounced back from a tough loss to North Texas by holding off Yale 59-56 on Nov. 16. Dawson Garcia leads the Gophers with 25.5 points per game.
