College Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. Each NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. NCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. Overall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Cincinnati at Villanova
NCAAMThe No. 14 Bearcats are 6-0 for the second straight season as they visit the Wildcats (4-4) for a Big 12-Big East Battle. Villanova forward Eric Dixon goes for 25.1 points per game. Cincinnati 6-foot-8 guard Simas Lukosius averages 16.5 points.
Eastern Illinois at Butler
NCAAMJahmyl Telfort and the Bulldogs (6-1) streak into their test with the Panthers (2-5). Butler has won five straight. Telfort, a 6-foot-7 senior forward from Montreal, is averaging a team-high 17.6 points per game after totaling 47 over the last two.
Arkansas at Miami
NCAAMThe Razorbacks (5-2) visit the Hurricanes (3-4) for an SEC/ACC Challenge game. Arkansas comes off a 90-77 setback against Illinois. Miami followed up a last-place finish at the Charleston Classic by falling 83-79 to Charleston Southern on Nov. 30.
California at Missouri
NCAAMThe Tigers and Golden Bears bring 6-1 records into their SEC/ACC Challenge game. Missouri has won six in a row. California has won four straight. Andrej Stojakovic, whose father Peja played 13 NBA seasons, paces Cal with 17.7 points per contest.
South Carolina at Boston College
NCAAMAn SEC/ACC Challenge match sees the Gamecocks (4-3) play the Eagles (6-2). South Carolina grabbed third place at the Fort Myers Tip-Off by defeating another ACC school, Virginia Tech, 70-60. Boston College comes off an 88-83 upset loss to Dartmouth.
Notre Dame at Georgia
NCAAMThe Bulldogs (7-1) host the Fighting Irish (4-4) for an SEC/ACC Challenge game. Georgia returned home after beating then-No. 22 St. John's 66-63 in the Bahamas and topped Jacksonville 102-56 on Nov. 30. Notre Dame has dropped four in a row.

Western Carolina at Marquette
NCAAMThe No. 10 Golden Eagles (7-0) look to stay perfect as the Catamounts (2-3) arrive for a challenge. Marquette is 5-0 at home after dropping Stonehill 94-59 on Nov. 27. Homegrown talent David Joplin (MARQ) averaged 28 points over his last two games.
Albany (N.Y.) at Georgetown
NCAAMThe Hoyas (5-1) carry a three-game win streak into their first meeting with the Great Danes (5-2). Georgetown 6-foot-10 freshman Thomas Sorber collected nine points, seven rebounds and six assists in a 66-41 decision over Wagner on Nov. 26.
Seattle at Duke
NCAAMThe No. 11 Blue Devils roll with the Redhawks. Duke dropped to 1-2 against ranked opponents this season when its upset bid of No. 1 Kansas fell short 75-72 on Nov. 26. Highly-touted Devils freshman Cooper Flagg is averaging 17 points per game.
Monmouth at Seton Hall
NCAAMThe Pirates (4-3) try to maintain their grip on the Garden State rival Hawks (0-8). Seton Hall has won all 15 meetings after a 70-61 verdict last season. The Pirates finished third in the Charleston Classic after defeating Florida Atlantic 63-61.
Alcorn State at Maryland
NCAAMThe Braves continue their season-opening, 13-game trip by taking on the Terrapins. Maryland sits at 6-1 and has won three in a row after falling to then-No. 15 Marquette on Nov. 15. Freshman center Derik Queen leads the Terps with 16 points per game.
Buffalo at Penn State
NCAAMAce Baldwin Jr. and the Nittany Lions (6-1) try to bounce back as they host the Bulls (4-3). Penn State comes off a 75-67 loss to Clemson in the Sunshine Slam championship game. Baldwin, a senior, posted 20 points and 11 assists in that contest.
