\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

The No. 9 Jayhawks host the Wildcats for a Big 12 affair involving Sunflower State rivals. Kansas has won 17 consecutive meetings at Allen Fieldhouse. Kansas State last prevailed in Lawrence, Kan., in 2006. The Jayhawks are 8-1 at home this season.

Xavier at Marquette

The No. 7 Golden Eagles (15-2, 6-0 Big East) go for the sweep of the Musketeers (11-7, 3-4). Marquette has won six in a row, including its fifth straight over Xavier, 72-70 on Dec. 21, 2024. David Joplin (MARQ) posted 19 points and three blocks.

Arizona at Texas Tech

The Red Raiders (12-4, 3-2 Big 12) try to stop the Wildcats' (11-5, 5-0) seven-game winning streak. Arizona stayed perfect in its new conference by topping No. 25 Baylor 81-70 on Jan. 14. Estonian forward Henri Veesaar (ARIZ) scored 19 bench points.

Wake Forest at Virginia Tech

ACC rivals in the Demon Deacons and Hokies continue a series that began in 1912. Wake Forest has won two straight on the road. The schools split a pair last season. Deacons guard Hunter Sallis totaled 31 points and 14 rebounds in those meetings.

SMU at Miami

The Hurricanes look to break a lengthy slide when they host the Mustangs. Miami fell to 0-6 in ACC play, and 4-13 overall after an 89-54 drubbing at the hands of No. 3 Duke, for its worst start since joining the conference for the 2004-05 campaign.

Stanford at Wake Forest

Wake Forest (12-4, 4-1 ACC) rolls into this matchup against new ACC foe Stanford (11-5, 3-2). The Demon Deacons have won three in a row, and are sporting a 12-1 mark against unranked competition in 2024-25. The Cardinal have won two straight.

California at North Carolina

The Tar Heels (11-6, 4-1 ACC) and Golden Bears (8-8, 1-4) meet for the first time since 1998. North Carolina has won three straight and five of its last six. Tar Heels freshman guard Ian Jackson averaged 23.2 points in those half-dozen outings.

Seton Hall at Butler

The Pirates (6-10, 1-4 Big East) go up against the Bulldogs (7-10, 0-6). Seton Hall sophomore Isaiah Coleman has averaged 21.3 points per game across his past seven outings. Butler tries to end a nine-game slide, its longest skid since 1989-90.
