\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

NCAAMThe Commodores (13-2, 1-1) resume their SEC slate by visiting the Tigers (12-3, 1-1). Vanderbilt's seven-game win streak was halted by No. 14 Mississippi State on Jan. 7. Vandy won two of the last three get-togethers, but is 0-7 all-time at Missouri.
Florida at Arkansas
NCAAMThe No. 8 Gators and their stifling defense visit the Razorbacks for an SEC contest. Florida is 14-1, 1-1 after holding No. 1 Tennessee to 21.4% shooting from the field in a 73-43 victory. Arkansas completes a three-game run against ranked teams.
Georgia Tech at SMU
NCAAMThe Yellow Jackets (8-8, 2-3 ACC) and Mustangs (11-4, 2-2) meet for the first time since 1986. SMU has lost two straight, to No. 4 Duke and at North Carolina. Mustangs junior guard Boopie Miller averages 15.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per outing.
North Carolina at NC State
NCAAMThe Tar Heels (10-6, 3-1 ACC) head down the highway to face the rival Wolfpack (9-6, 2-2). These schools met in the 2024 ACC Tournament final, with NC State knocking off North Carolina 84-76 to complete a Cinderella run to a March Madness berth.
Virginia at Stanford
NCAAMThe Cardinal try to string together ACC wins when they host the Cavaliers. Stanford snapped a three-game skid Jan. 8 by beating another Old Dominion State program, Virginia Tech, 70-59. Elijah Saunders paces Virginia with 12.1 points per game.
Xavier at DePaul
NCAAMThe Musketeers vie for their fifth straight victory over the Demon Deacons in a Big East affair. Xavier is 0-4 in true road games this season. Musketeers 6-foot-9 senior forward Zach Freemantle contributes 17.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per outing.
Seton Hall at Providence
NCAAMTeams coming off big wins link up as the Friars (8-8, 2-3 Big East) host the Pirates (6-9, 1-3). Seton Hall ended a five-game winless streak by surviving DePaul 85-80 in overtime on Jan. 8, while Providence ended a four-match skid by topping Butler.

St. John's at Xavier
NCAAMThe Musketeers host the Red Storm. St. John's has won seven of its past eight overall. Xavier is sliding, with losses in four of its last five. Xavier's Dayvion McKnight had 19 points and six assists in an 88-77 home win over St. John's in 2023-24.
Connecticut at Villanova
NCAAMThe No. 9 Huskies (12-3, 4-0 Big East) try to stay perfect on the mainland as they seek vie for a fifth straight victory over the Wildcats (10-5, 3-1). UConn started the season 4-0, went 0-3 in the Maui Invitational and won all its games since.
Ole Miss at Arkansas
NCAAMThe Razorbacks (11-3, 0-1) welcome the SEC rival No. 23 Rebels (12-2, 1-0) to Bud Walton Arena. Ole Miss opened its conference campaign with a 63-51 victory over Georgia. Arkansas saw its six-game win streak snapped, 76-52 at No. 1 Tennessee.
Florida State at Miami
NCAAMThe Hurricanes seek their first win under interim head coach Bill Courtney when they host the Seminoles. Florida State beat Syracuse on Jan. 4 for its first ACC triumph in 2024-25. Miami has lost to Boston College and Virginia Tech in the new year.
Drake at Bradley
NCAAMThe Bulldogs visit the Braves. Drake has dropped games to Illinois-Chicago and Murray State following a 12-0 start. Bradley stands at 4-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference following a fifth straight win Jan. 4. Drake has won four straight meetings.
