\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

NCAAMThe Blue Raiders (9-3) look to step up against the No. 1 Volunteers (11-0). This is the first meeting between the in-state rivals since the 2012 NIT's second round, where Middle Tennessee upset Tennessee 71-64 for its first win against the Vols.
Oregon State vs Oakland
NCAAMThe Golden Grizzlies battle the Beavers in the Diamond Head Classic semifinals. Oakland stunned Loyola Chicago 72-71 in the first round on Isaiah Jones' last-second layup. Oregon State topped Charleston 74-65 behind Michael Rataj's double-double.
Le Moyne at Notre Dame
NCAAMThe Dolphins (5-8) make the trip to the Hoosier State to face the Fighting Irish (6-5). Notre Dame is on a two-game win streak, with sophomore guard Braeden Shrewsberry averaging 23.5 points in those victories. Le Moyne is 3-5 away from home.
Seattle at Washington
NCAAMThe Redhawks fly across the Emerald City for a matchup with the Huskies. Washington is 16-0 versus Seattle since 2009 after hanging on for a 100-99 double-overtime verdict Dec. 17, 2023. Washington comes off a 89-73 win over rival Washington State.
Nebraska vs Hawaii
NCAAMThe Cornhuskers (8-2) meet the host Rainbow Warriors (7-3) in the Diamond Head Classic semifinals. Nebraska rolled to a 66-49 victory over Murray State in the first round. Hawaii handled Charlotte 78-61 behind 24 points by Gytis Nemeiksa.

NCAAMThe Racers (6-5) face the 49ers (6-5) in a Diamond Head Classic consolation game. Murray State fell to Nebraska 66-49 in the first round despite 19 points by senior guard Kylen Milton. Charlotte never led in a 78-61 setback against host Hawaii.

NCAAMThe Red Storm (9-2, 1-0 Big East) roll into this road matchup against the Friars (7-5, 1-0). St. John's has won four in a row after thumping DePaul 89-61 in its Big East opener on Dec. 17. Providence is 6-0 on its home court this season.

Duke at Georgia Tech
NCAAMFreshman star Cooper Flagg and the No. 5 Blue Devils (9-2, 1-0 ACC) host the Yellow Jackets (4-6, 0-1). Duke has won 17 of the last 19 meetings. Flagg, a 6-foot-9 guard from Maine, paces the Devils in points, rebounds, assists, and blocks per game.
Princeton vs Rutgers
NCAAMGarden State foes in the Tigers (8-4) and Scarlet Knights (7-4) compete in the Never Forget Tribute Classic in Newark, N.J. Rutgers freshman guard Dylan Harper averages 23.5 points per game. Princeton beat Rutgers 68-61 in Trenton, N.J., last season.
Virginia Tech vs Saint Joseph's
NCAAMThe Hokies (5-6) play the Hawks (7-4) at the Palestra for Holiday Hoopfest. This is their first match since Dec. 22, 2015, when Saint Joseph's beat Virginia Tech 79-62 at the Barclays Center. Xzayvier Brown leads St. Joe's with 15.7 points per game.
