\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Marquette at Providence
NCAAMThe No. 8 Golden Eagles (11-2, 2-0 Big East) head east to face the Friars (7-6, 1-1). Marquette won the rubber match of 2023-24 by knocking Providence out of the Big East Tournament in the semifinals as Kam Jones's 23 points keyed a 79-68 win.
Campbell at North Carolina
NCAAMThe Fighting Camels (5-7, 0-0 CAA) challenge the Tar Heels (7-5, 1-0 ACC) in Chapel Hill, N.C. North Carolina has won three of its last four contests following a two-point victory over then-No. 18 UCLA at the CBS Sports Classic on Dec. 21.
Miami at Boston College
NCAAMInterim coach Bill Courtney takes over as his Hurricanes visit the Eagles. Jim Larrañaga announced his retirement on Dec. 26, 2024. The 75-year-old went 716-483 in 39 years, leading Miami (2023) and George Mason (2006) to the Final Four.
UNC-Greensboro at Wofford
NCAAMThe Spartans (7-6, 0-0 Southern) cross the state line to take on the Terriers (6-7, 0-0). UNC Greensboro took both meetings from Wofford last season by a combined 34 points. Jalen Breath (UNCG) averaged 10 points and eight rebounds in those wins.
California at Pittsburgh
NCAAMThe Golden Bears play the Panthers for the first time as ACC equals. Pittsburgh knocked California out of the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2002. Pittsburgh won its final three games in 2024 behind Ishmael Leggett's 19 points per game.
Connecticut at DePaul
NCAAMThe No. 11 Huskies (10-3, 2-0 Big East) try to continue their dominance of the Blue Demons (8-4, 0-2). UConn leads the series 19-1 after winning the last 18 meetings. The Huskies have won six straight since going 0-3 at the Maui Invitational.

UCLA vs Gonzaga
NCAAMThe No. 14 Bulldogs (9-3) brace for the No. 22 Bruins (10-2) in the West Coast Hoops Showdown. Gonzaga won the last meeting 69-65 in the 2023 Maui Invitational final for its fourth straight series victory, a run that started in the 2021 Final Four.
Utah State at San Diego State
NCAAMThe No. 20 Aztecs (8-2, 1-0) try for their sixth straight victory as they host the Mountain West foe Aggies (11-1, 1-0). San Diego State has won six of the last seven meetings. Utah State followed its loss with a 75-68 win at Saint Mary's on Dec. 22.
Indiana State at Ohio State
NCAAMThe surging Buckeyes (8-4) and streaking Sycamores (8-4) meet for the first time. Ohio State enjoyed its Christmas week break on a high after easily defeating then-No. 4 Kentucky 85-65 in New York on Dec. 21. Indiana State has won five straight.
Chicago State at Illinois
NCAAMThe No. 24 Fighting Illini (8-3) try to stay perfect against the Cougars (0-14). Lithuanian freshman Kasparas Jakucionis topped 20 points in each of his last six games, and leads Illinois with 16.5 ppg. The Illini lead the all-time series 13-0.
Winthrop at Indiana
NCAAMThe Hoosiers (9-3) host the Eagles (10-4) in Bloomington, Ind., for the first meeting between the schools. Indiana has won five of its last six, and is 8-0 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in 2024-25. Winthrop prevailed in six of its last seven outings.
Toledo at Purdue
NCAAMThe No. 21 Boilermakers (8-4, 1-1 Big Ten) look to get back into the win column when they host the Rockets (6-5, 0-0 MAC). Purdue has dropped two in a row against ranked programs Texas A&M and Auburn. Toledo has just one win in its last five outings.
