\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

NCAAMThe Red Wolves host the Mountaineers. App State has won its last five, while Arkansas State's win streak stands at three. The Wolves won the last meeting 67-65 in the semifinals of the 2024 Sun Belt Tournament, taking out the top-seeded Mountaineers.
Morehead State at Eastern Illinois
NCAAMThe Ohio Valley Conference-leading Eagles visit the Panthers. Morehead State has won four in a row, and nine of its past 10 overall. Morehead State won both meetings in 2023-24 to stretch its win streak over Eastern Illinois to seven games.
Maryland at Illinois
NCAAMThe No. 17 Fighting Illini (13-5, 5-3) welcome the Terrapins (14-5, 4-4) to State Farm Center. Illinois fell at then-No. 12 Michigan State 70-68 on Jan. 19. Maryland comes off a 69-66 victory over Nebraska behind 22 points by Ja'Kobi Gillespie.
San Francisco at St. Mary's
NCAAMThe Gaels face a Bay Area rival in the Dons. Saint Mary's is 6-0 since beginning its West Coast Conference schedule, and has won 10 in a row over San Francisco. Dons senior guard Malik Thomas is scoring 24.1 points per WCC contest in 2024-25.
Utah Valley at California Baptist
NCAAMThe Lancers host the Wolverines in Western Athletic Conference play. Utah Valley has won eight straight, and six of seven versus California Baptist after a Jan. 11 decision. The Lancers' lone win in that stretch came in last year's WAC Tournament.
Washington State at Santa Clara
NCAAMTyeree Bryan and the Broncos (13-7, 5-2) host the Cougars (15-5, 5-2) for a West Coast Conference contest. Bryan scored a career-high 35 points in a stunning 103-99 victory at then-No. 16 Gonzaga on Jan. 18. Washington State has won two straight.

Hampton at North Carolina A&T
NCAAMThe Aggies (4-15, 0-6 CAA) try to halt a five-game slide as they host the Pirates (9-9, 2-4). Hampton looks for the season sweep of North Carolina A&T after junior guard George Beale Jr.'s 25 points off the bench keyed an 82-71 Pirates victory.
Georgetown at Villanova
NCAAMThe Wildcats (12-7, 5-3 Big East) host the Hoyas (12-6, 3-4). Villanova ended a two-game skid by topping Providence 75-73 on Jan. 17, while Georgetown gave DePaul its first conference win since the 2023 Big East Tournament's first round, 73-68.
Boston College at Virginia
NCAAMThe Cavaliers try to continue their success against the Eagles in an ACC affair. Virginia has won two consecutive meetings, and 12 of the last 14. The Cavaliers also boast an eight-game win streak against the Eagles at John Paul Jones Arena.
Butler at Connecticut
NCAAMThe Bulldogs run with the No. 19 Huskies. Butler prevailed over Seton Hall 82-77 on Jan. 15, ending a nine-game drought. Bulldogs forward Pierre Brooks II had 19 points in the victory. UConn has dropped two its past three after losing to Creighton.
VCU at Rhode Island
NCAAMAtlantic 10 Rams bang heads as VCU visits Rhode Island. VCU has won its last four games, and four straight over Rhode Island to even the series 11-11. Rhode Island senior guard Sebastian Thomas has scored 20 or more points in his last eight outings.
Minnesota at Iowa
NCAAMThe Golden Gophers visit the Hawkeyes. Minnesota had lost four in a row, and was 0-6 in Big Ten play, before knocking off then-No. 20 Michigan in overtime on Jan. 16. Iowa has won six straight meetings, and is 10-1 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in 2024-25.
