\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

The Panthers (11-2, 2-0 ACC) own a four-game win streak as they host the Cardinal (9-4, 1-1). Pittsburgh plays its second straight ACC newcomer after beating California 86-74. Maxime Raynaud (STAN) averages 20.8 points and 11.9 rebounds per outing.

South Florida at Wichita State

The Shockers (10-4, 0-1 American) open their 2025 home slate by facing the Bulls (8-6, 1-0). Last season, South Florida snapped an eight-game losing streak against Wichita State with a 72-68 victory. Kobe Knox (USF) scored 10 points in that win.

Wisconsin at Rutgers

The Badgers roll into this league game with the Scarlet Knights. Wisconsin's 116 points in a win over Iowa on Jan. 4 was its most at the Kohl Center, and its second-highest total in a game overall. Ace Bailey (RUTG) scored 39 points in a loss Jan. 2.

TCU at Houston

The Horned Frogs visit the Cougars. TCU beat Houston 68-67 in the first series meeting in 12 years during the 2023-24 regular season. However, the Cougars came out on top 60-45 when they rematched in the Big 12 Tournament quarterfinals.

Grambling State at Texas Southern

Grambling State wraps up a two-game stay in the Lone Star State by facing Texas Southern. The schools have met in the last two SWAC Tournament finals, with Grambling exacting revenge for a 2023 loss to Texas Southern with a 75-66 victory last year.

Purdue at Minnesota

The No. 20 Boilermakers vie for their fifth straight victory over the rival Golden Gophers. Purdue has won six of the last seven meetings with the past four by a combined 64 points. Purdue is 1-1 in conference, defeating Maryland on Dec. 8, 2024.

Stanford at Clemson

The Cardinal (9-3, 1-0 ACC) get their first look at the Tigers (10-3, 2-0) as a conference foe. Clemson turned the page from back-to-back overtime losses by knocking off Wake Forest 73-62 on Dec. 21, the same day Stanford fell to former rival Oregon.

Illinois at Oregon

The No. 9 Ducks and No. 22 Fighting Illini resume their Big Ten campaigns at Matthew Knight Arena. The programs haven't met since 2014. Each team is 1-1 in conference with Oregon defeating USC 68-60 and Illinois topping then-No. 20 Wisconsin 86-80.

North Carolina at Louisville

The Tar Heels look to make it six straight wins against the Cardinals in ACC action. North Carolina took out Louisville 86-70 in the lone meeting last season. Workhorse guard RJ Davis led the Tar Heels with 21 points and six assists in that triumph.

Akron at Bowling Green

Buckeye State schools begin their MAC schedules as the Falcons play host to the Zips. Akron has won five in a row against Bowling Green dating back to 2021. Marcus Johnson, who was born in Akron, Ohio, leads the Falcons with 16.7 points per game.

Iowa at Wisconsin

The Hawkeyes and Badgers pick up their Big Ten campaigns with a match in Madison. Iowa snapped a four-game series slide with an 88-86 victory in overtime last season. Six-foot-5 senior guard John Tonje paces Wisconsin with 19.2 points per outing.

Michigan State at Ohio State

The No. 18 Spartans and Buckeyes dive back into Big Ten play. Michigan State is 2-0 after beating breezing past Minnesota and Nebraska. Hometown sophomore Devin Royal has scored 40 points across Ohio State's first two conference games this season.

Xavier at Georgetown

The Hoyas seek a 3-0 start in Big East play when they host the Musketeers. Xavier has won five in a row against Georgetown and is 17-4 against the Hoyas since joining the Big East. Thomas Sorber leads Georgetown with 15.7 points per game.
