\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

NCAAMThe Musketeers vie for their fifth straight victory over the Golden Eagles in a Big East game. Marquette leads the series 59-27. Xavier is 7-0 at the Cintas Center this season, winning by an average of 23.4 ppg. The Eagles are 1-2 in true road games.
Syracuse vs Maryland
NCAAMThe Terrapins (9-2) and the Orange (5-5) link up in the Gotham Classic from Brooklyn, N.Y. Syracuse competed in the inaugural edition of this event, falling 83-79 to Temple in 2012 despite entering the game as the third-ranked school in the nation.
North Florida at Florida
NCAAMThe No. 7 Gators are 11-0 for the second time in school history as they host the Ospreys (7-5). Florida was 17-0 in 2005-06 en route to winning the first of two straight national titles. Walter Clayton Jr. boasts 18.5 points per game for the Gators.
Duke at Georgia Tech
NCAAMFreshman star Cooper Flagg and the No. 5 Blue Devils (9-2, 1-0 ACC) host the Yellow Jackets (4-6, 0-1). Duke has won 17 of the last 19 meetings. Flagg, a 6-foot-9 guard from Maine, paces the Devils in points, rebounds, assists, and blocks per game.
Princeton vs Rutgers
NCAAMGarden State foes in the Tigers (8-4) and Scarlet Knights (7-4) compete in the Never Forget Tribute Classic in Newark, N.J. Rutgers freshman guard Dylan Harper averages 23.5 points per game. Princeton beat Rutgers 68-61 in Trenton, N.J., last season.
Virginia Tech vs Saint Joseph's
NCAAMThe Hokies (5-6) play the Hawks (7-4) at the Palestra for Holiday Hoopfest. This is their first match since Dec. 22, 2015, when Saint Joseph's beat Virginia Tech 79-62 at the Barclays Center. Xzayvier Brown leads St. Joe's with 15.7 points per game.
UT-Chattanooga at Indiana
NCAAMOumar Ballo and the Hoosiers (8-3) step away from Big Ten competition to host the Mocs (8-4). Ballo, a 7-foot Malian, averages 12.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game after totaling 26 and 18 in outings against conference foes Minnesota and Nebraska.

NCAAMBig East play gets underway for Creighton (7-4) and Georgetown (8-2) from the nation's capital. The Bluejays are 6-0 against the Hoyas since 2021-22. Creighton's 7-foot-1 senior Ryan Kalkbrenner averaged 16 points per game across those contests.
Xavier at Connecticut
NCAAMThe No. 11Huskies (8-3) host the Musketeers (8-3) in a Big East opener. UConn has won four in a row following an 0-3 trip to Maui in November. UConn went 3-0 during the 2023-24 season series after smashing Xavier 87-60 in the Big East quarterfinals.
