\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Stanford at Wake Forest

Wake Forest (12-4, 4-1 ACC) rolls into this matchup against new ACC foe Stanford (11-5, 3-2). The Demon Deacons have won three in a row, and are sporting a 12-1 mark against unranked competition in 2024-25. The Cardinal have won two straight.

Kansas at Iowa State

The No. 2 Cyclones (14-1, 4-0 Big 12) play the No. 9 Jayhawks (12-3, 3-1). Iowa State has won 11 in a row after prevailing in a nail-biter at Texas Tech. Joshua Jefferson sent the game to overtime and scored the winning free throws in the 85-84 win.

California at North Carolina

The Tar Heels (11-6, 4-1 ACC) and Golden Bears (8-8, 1-4) meet for the first time since 1998. North Carolina has won three straight and five of its last six. Tar Heels freshman guard Ian Jackson averaged 23.2 points in those half-dozen outings.

NC State at Virginia Tech

The Wolfpack (9-7, 2-3 ACC) visit the Hokies (7-9, 2-3). Virginia Tech beat NC State 84-78 during the lone meeting in 2023-24. Mylyjael Poteat (VT), who netted eight points in that win, scored a career-high 25 points during his last home game Jan. 4.

The Hoosiers (13-3, 4-1 Big Ten) bring a five-game win streak into a date with the Hawkeyes (11-4, 2-2). Former Arizona center Oumar Ballo averaged 24 points and 10.5 rebounds in Indiana's last two victories. Iowa is 9-1 at home this season.

Washington at Michigan

The Huskies (10-6, 1-4 Big Ten) end a two-game stay in the Great Lakes State by facing the No. 24 Wolverines (12-3, 4-0). Washington received a rude welcome from No. 16 Michigan State, getting drubbed 88-54 on Jan. 9. Michigan has won four straight.

North Carolina at NC State

The Tar Heels (10-6, 3-1 ACC) head down the highway to face the rival Wolfpack (9-6, 2-2). These schools met in the 2024 ACC Tournament final, with NC State knocking off North Carolina 84-76 to complete a Cinderella run to a March Madness berth.
