\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Oakland vs Hawaii
NCAAMThe Rainbow Warriors (7-4) and Golden Grizzlies (4-8) compete for third place in the Diamond Head Classic. Hawaii came up short against Nebraska 69-55 in the semifinals. Upset-minded Oakland took Oregon State to overtime before succumbing 80-74.
Nebraska vs Oregon State
NCAAMBrice Williams and the Cornhuskers (9-2) meet the Beavers (10-2) in the Diamond Head Classic final. Williams matched a career high with 32 points in Nebraska's 69-55 win over Hawaii in the semifinals. Oregon State survived Oakland 80-74 in overtime.
American at Virginia
NCAAMThe Cavaliers (6-5) welcome the Eagles (6-5) to John Paul Jones Arena. On Dec. 18, Virginia couldn't hold an 11-point second-half lead in a 64-62 loss to No. 21 Memphis, while American had its five-game win streak stopped by Saint Joseph's, 84-57.
Rider at NC State
NCAAMThe Wolfpack host the Broncs. NC State is 7-4 after a 75-60 loss at then-No. 10 Kansas. Wolfpack senior guard Marcus Hill paces a well-balanced scoring attack with 12.7 points per game. Rider is 0-3 versus major conference teams this season.
Le Moyne at Notre Dame
NCAAMThe Dolphins (5-8) make the trip to the Hoosier State to face the Fighting Irish (6-5). Notre Dame is on a two-game win streak, with sophomore guard Braeden Shrewsberry averaging 23.5 points in those victories. Le Moyne is 3-5 away from home.

NCAAMThe Musketeers vie for their fifth straight victory over the Golden Eagles in a Big East game. Marquette leads the series 59-27. Xavier is 7-0 at the Cintas Center this season, winning by an average of 23.4 ppg. The Eagles are 1-2 in true road games.
Duke at Georgia Tech
NCAAMFreshman star Cooper Flagg and the No. 5 Blue Devils (9-2, 1-0 ACC) host the Yellow Jackets (4-6, 0-1). Duke has won 17 of the last 19 meetings. Flagg, a 6-foot-9 guard from Maine, paces the Devils in points, rebounds, assists, and blocks per game.
Princeton vs Rutgers
NCAAMGarden State foes in the Tigers (8-4) and Scarlet Knights (7-4) compete in the Never Forget Tribute Classic in Newark, N.J. Rutgers freshman guard Dylan Harper averages 23.5 points per game. Princeton beat Rutgers 68-61 in Trenton, N.J., last season.
Virginia Tech vs Saint Joseph's
NCAAMThe Hokies (5-6) play the Hawks (7-4) at the Palestra for Holiday Hoopfest. This is their first match since Dec. 22, 2015, when Saint Joseph's beat Virginia Tech 79-62 at the Barclays Center. Xzayvier Brown leads St. Joe's with 15.7 points per game.
UT-Chattanooga at Indiana
NCAAMOumar Ballo and the Hoosiers (8-3) step away from Big Ten competition to host the Mocs (8-4). Ballo, a 7-foot Malian, averages 12.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game after totaling 26 and 18 in outings against conference foes Minnesota and Nebraska.
Mississippi State at Memphis
NCAAMThe No. 21 Tigers (9-2) welcome the Bulldogs (10-1) to the FedExForum for a match. This is their first meeting since the 2021 NIT final, which Memphis claimed 77-64. PJ Haggerty (MEM) averaged 23.6 points and six rebounds over his last five contests.
FDU at Minnesota
NCAAMThe Knights (4-9) continue a run of six straight road contests when they visit the Golden Gophers (6-5). Fairleigh Dickinson is 0-2 against Big Ten schools since famously upsetting top-seeded Purdue in the 2023 NCAA Tournament's first round.
