\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Florida at Kentucky

The No. 6 Gators (13-0) visit the No. 10 Wildcats (11-2) for a marquee SEC opener. Florida is off to the second-best start in program history behind the 2005-06 squad that began 17-0. The Gators stopped a five-game series slide last season.

North Carolina at Notre Dame

The Tar Heels move from Northern Kentucky to Northern Indiana for an ACC game with the Fighting Irish. North Carolina blasted Notre Dame 84-51 last season behind RJ Davis' 22 points and six assists. The Irish are 6-1 at Purcell Pavilion this season.

Georgia at Ole Miss

The No. 24 Rebels host the Bulldogs as both teams begin their SEC schedules. Georgia led for nearly the entirety of its 69-66 win over Ole Miss in 2023-24. Ole Miss had won five straight games until an 87-70 setback at Memphis to close out 2024.

Boston College at Georgia Tech

The Yellow Jackets (7-7, 1-2 ACC) fly with the Eagles (9-5, 1-2). Boston College won 95-87 last season, ending a five-game skid versus Georgia Tech. Baye Ndongo (GT), a 6-foot-9 forward from Senegal, posted an 18-point double-double in that loss.

DePaul at Villanova

The Blue Demons pay the Wildcats a visit. Villanova has won four straight meetings since DePaul grabbed its first series victory in 15 years in 2023. Nova's Eric Dixon has played DePaul six times in his career, averaging 16 points per game.

UNC-Greensboro at Wofford

The Spartans (7-6, 0-0 Southern) cross the state line to take on the Terriers (6-7, 0-0). UNC Greensboro took both meetings from Wofford last season by a combined 34 points. Jalen Breath (UNCG) averaged 10 points and eight rebounds in those wins.

Connecticut at DePaul

The No. 11 Huskies (10-3, 2-0 Big East) try to continue their dominance of the Blue Demons (8-4, 0-2). UConn leads the series 19-1 after winning the last 18 meetings. The Huskies have won six straight since going 0-3 at the Maui Invitational.

California at Pittsburgh

The Golden Bears play the Panthers for the first time as ACC equals. Pittsburgh knocked California out of the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2002. Pittsburgh won its final three games in 2024 behind Ishmael Leggett's 19 points per game.

Stanford at Clemson

The Cardinal (9-3, 1-0 ACC) get their first look at the Tigers (10-3, 2-0) as a conference foe. Clemson turned the page from back-to-back overtime losses by knocking off Wake Forest 73-62 on Dec. 21, the same day Stanford fell to former rival Oregon.
