\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

UNLV at San Diego State
NCAAMThe Aztecs aim to continue climbing the Mountain West Conference standings as they host the Rebels. San Diego State defeated Colorado State on Jan. 14 to move to 4-2 in MWC play. UNLV is 3-23 against San Diego State since the start of 2013-14.
LSU at Texas A&M
NCAAMThe Aggies (13-4, 2-2 SEC) host the Tigers (12-5, 1-3). Texas A&M has dropped consecutive games to then-No. 5 Alabama and at No. 8 Kentucky. Cam Carter (LSU) averages 17.7 points per outing after scoring a season-high 27 in a 78-74 win over Arkansas.

NCAAMThe Pirates (6-10, 1-4 Big East) go up against the Bulldogs (7-10, 0-6). Seton Hall sophomore Isaiah Coleman has averaged 21.3 points per game across his past seven outings. Butler tries to end a nine-game slide, its longest skid since 1989-90.
George Mason at Dayton
NCAAMThe Patriots provide the oppositions for the Flyers' first home date of 2025. George Mason has defeated Dayton in each of the past three seasons. Darius Maddox (GMU) averaged 15.8 points across five prior appearances on the road in 2024-25.
Penn State at Michigan State
NCAAMThe No. 12 Spartans (14-2, 5-0) host the Nittany Lions (12-5, 2-4) in a clash of Big Ten sides trending in opposite directions. Michigan State has won nine straight. Penn State has lost three in a row. The Spartans are 8-0 at the Breslin Center.
SMU at Virginia
NCAAMThe Cavaliers rematch with the Mustangs. SMU beat Virginia 63-51 in its introduction to ACC competition Dec. 7, 2024. SMU senior Kario Oquendo scored 21 points off the bench in that win. Virginia is 7-2 on its home court in 2024-25.
Rhode Island at Loyola-Chicago
NCAAMThe Rams bump heads with the Ramblers. Loyola Chicago won 77-67 over Rhode Island in 2023-24, but the Rams won the last meeting in Chicago in 2022-23. Rhode Island senior Sebastian Thomas has hit the 20-point mark in six straight games.
Purdue at Washington
NCAAMThe Huskies (10-7, 1-5 Big Ten) host the No. 17 Boilermakers (13-4, 5-1). The lone meeting between the programs since the 1960s came at the 2009 NCAA Tournament, with Purdue holding off Washington's rally for a 76-74 victory in the second round.
