College Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. Each NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. NCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. Overall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Dayton at VCU

The Flyers face the Rams to end the regular season. VCU clinched at least a share of the Atlantic 10 title after beating Duquesne and extending its win streak to nine games March 4. Zeb Jackson's 17 points helped VCU put away Dayton 73-68 on Feb. 7.

Purdue at Illinois

The No. 18 Boilermakers (21-9, 13-6 Big Ten) battle the Fighting Illini (19-11, 11-8) in this regular-season finale. Purdue recovered from a four-game slide with back-to-back wins over UCLA and Rutgers. Illinois also has won two straight outings.

UCLA at Northwestern

The Bruins face the Wildcats for the first time as Big Ten equals. No. 2 UCLA bested No. 7 Northwestern 68-63 in the second round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament during the last meeting. UCLA's Dylan Andrews had five points in 15 minutes during the win.

Georgia at South Carolina

The Bulldogs and Gamecocks prepare for the first round of the SEC Tournament with this clash. Georgia seeks the regular-season sweep after topping South Carolina 71-60 on Jan. 28. Asa Newell (UGA) posted a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double.

Miami at Georgia Tech

The Hurricanes continue to wind down their season with this ACC contest against the Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech has won two in a row against Miami following an 80-76 verdict last season. Kowacie Reeves Jr. (GT) scored 15 points in that contest.

Creighton at Seton Hall

Creighton plays Seton Hall at the Prudential Center in the penultimate regular-season game for each program. The Bluejays have won five in a row against the Pirates after cruising to a 79-54 triumph Jan. 25. Ryan Kalkbrenner (CREI) scored 23 points.

VCU at Duquesne

The Dukes complete their home schedule by running into the Rams. VCU paces the Atlantic 10 with a 14-2 record after winning an eighth straight outing Feb. 28. Duquesne defeated VCU 57-51 in the 2024 A-10 Tournament title game in the last meeting.

Texas at Mississippi State

The Longhorns head to the Magnolia State to face the No. 25 Bulldogs in SEC play. Texas has lost three straight on the road despite star freshman Tre Johnson averaging 27.7 points in those games. This is the last home date for Mississippi State.

Boise State at Air Force
