\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Michigan at Purdue

The No. 11 Boilermakers host the No. 21 Wolverines. Michigan has won six of its past seven. Purdue had won seven in a row until a setback at home to Ohio State on Jan. 21. Vladislav Goldin (MICH) is averaging 23 points per game since the new year.

St. Bonaventure at VCU

The Rams look to exact some revenge on the Bonnies in Atlantic 10 action. St. Bonaventure won its fourth straight clash against VCU on New Year's Eve 2024, when Melvin Council Jr.'s layup with three seconds remaining clinched a 77-75 victory.

Villanova at Marquette

The Wildcats (12-8, 5-4 Big East) visit the No. 10 Golden Eagles (16-3, 7-1). Villanova's Eric Dixon leads the country with 24.9 points per game, and averaged 19.3 ppg versus Marquette in 2023-24. The Eagles have won seven straight against the Cats.

UCLA at Washington

The Bruins link up with the Huskies. UCLA won nine of the last 10 meetings with Washington as Pac-12 equals, and came out on top 69-58 in the first Big Ten matchup Dec. 3, 2024. The lone Huskies victory during that run came in Seattle last February.

Penn State at Iowa

The Nittany Lions look to build on recent momentum as they face the Hawkeyes in Big Ten play. Penn State snapped a four-game slide with an 80-72 victory over Rutgers on Jan. 20. Ace Baldwin Jr. led the Lions with 22 points to push Penn State to 13-6.

Louisville at SMU

The No. 25 Cardinals roll into a tilt with the Mustangs. Chucky Hepburn is averaging 15.3 points and 7.3 assists during Louisville's eight-game win streak. SMU has won its past three after hanging 117 points in a road decision at Miami on Jan. 18.

Campbell at Hofstra

The Fighting Camels make their first trip to Hempstead, N.Y., to face the Pride. Campbell earned a 69-68 home win over Hofstra last season in the first meeting between the schools. Camels forward Colby Duggan contributed seven points off the bench.

Creighton at DePaul

The Bluejays fly with the Blue Demons. DePaul snapped a 39-game regular-season losing streak to Big East opponents by winning 73-68 at Georgetown on Jan. 17. Creighton has won five of its past six after upsetting then-No. 14 UConn 68-63 on Jan. 18.

Washington at Oregon

The No. 15 Ducks (15-3, 4-3) host the Huskies (10-8, 1-6) in their first meeting as Big Ten members. The programs belonged to the Pac-12, Pac-10 or Pac-8 from 1968-2024. Both teams come off losses to then-No. 17 Purdue with each scoring 58 points.

Butler at Connecticut

The Bulldogs run with the No. 19 Huskies. Butler prevailed over Seton Hall 82-77 on Jan. 15, ending a nine-game drought. Bulldogs forward Pierre Brooks II had 19 points in the victory. UConn has dropped two its past three after losing to Creighton.

Syracuse at Clemson

The Orange clash with the Tigers at Littlejohn Coliseum. Clemson has won three straight meetings after sweeping Syracuse in 2023-24. Clemson has also won three in a row in 2024-25, beating Pittsburgh in overtime Jan. 18 to keep the streak alive.

Xavier at St. John's

The No. 20 Red Storm (16-3, 7-1 Big East) surge into a meeting with the Musketeers (12-7, 4-4). St. John's rides a five-game win streak with junior guard RJ Luis Jr. averaging 22.2 points and 8.4 rebounds during the run. Xavier won its last three.
