\n\nCollege Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. \n\nEach NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. \n\nNCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. \n\nOverall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Purdue at Minnesota
NCAAMThe No. 20 Boilermakers vie for their fifth straight victory over the rival Golden Gophers. Purdue has won six of the last seven meetings with the past four by a combined 64 points. Purdue is 1-1 in conference, defeating Maryland on Dec. 8, 2024.
Virginia Tech at Duke
NCAAMThe No. 4 Blue Devils (10-2, 2-0 ACC) try to resume their winning ways as they host the Hokies (5-7, 0-1). Duke took a six-game win streak into the Christmas week break. Devils freshman Cooper Flagg averages 16.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.
Illinois at Oregon
NCAAMThe No. 9 Ducks and No. 22 Fighting Illini resume their Big Ten campaigns at Matthew Knight Arena. The programs haven't met since 2014. Each team is 1-1 in conference with Oregon defeating USC 68-60 and Illinois topping then-No. 20 Wisconsin 86-80.
Maryland at Washington
NCAAMThe Terrapins and Huskies resume their Big Ten seasons. The programs have never met. Maryland is 1-1 in conference, defeating Ohio State 83-59 and losing at then-No. 8 Purdue 83-78. Washington is 0-2, falling at UCLA 69-58 and to USC 85-61.
Miami at Boston College
NCAAMInterim coach Bill Courtney takes over as his Hurricanes visit the Eagles. Jim Larrañaga announced his retirement on Dec. 26, 2024. The 75-year-old went 716-483 in 39 years, leading Miami (2023) and George Mason (2006) to the Final Four.
Villanova at Butler
NCAAMThe Wildcats (8-5, 1-1 Big East) visit the Bulldogs (7-6, 0-2) at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse. Villanova's Eric Dixon goes for 25.8 points per game. The sides have split the last two season series with Dixon averaging 20.3 points in the four meetings.
California at Pittsburgh
NCAAMThe Golden Bears play the Panthers for the first time as ACC equals. Pittsburgh knocked California out of the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2002. Pittsburgh won its final three games in 2024 behind Ishmael Leggett's 19 points per game.
Stanford at Clemson
NCAAMThe Cardinal (9-3, 1-0 ACC) get their first look at the Tigers (10-3, 2-0) as a conference foe. Clemson turned the page from back-to-back overtime losses by knocking off Wake Forest 73-62 on Dec. 21, the same day Stanford fell to former rival Oregon.

Western Michigan at Michigan State
NCAAMThe No. 18 Spartans (10-2) seek a sixth-straight victory as they host the Broncos (3-8). The last meeting between these schools in 2021 saw Michigan State blow the doors off Western Michigan by 44 points. The Spartans are a perfect 6-0 at home.
Notre Dame at Georgia Tech
NCAAMThe Fighting Irish ride a three-game win streak into their ACC road test against the Yellow Jackets. Notre Dame swept three meetings last season by a combined 14 points. The Fighting Irish won their ACC opener, 69-64 over the Orange on Dec. 7.

NCAAMThe No. 8 Golden Eagles (11-2, 2-0 Big East) head east to face the Friars (7-6, 1-1). Marquette won the rubber match of 2023-24 by knocking Providence out of the Big East Tournament in the semifinals as Kam Jones's 23 points keyed a 79-68 win.
Campbell at North Carolina
NCAAMThe Fighting Camels (5-7, 0-0 CAA) challenge the Tar Heels (7-5, 1-0 ACC) in Chapel Hill, N.C. North Carolina has won three of its last four contests following a two-point victory over then-No. 18 UCLA at the CBS Sports Classic on Dec. 21.
