College Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit. Each NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US. NCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few. Overall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

NCAAMThe No. 10 Golden Eagles (7-0) look to stay perfect as the Catamounts (2-3) arrive for a challenge. Marquette is 5-0 at home after dropping Stonehill 94-59 on Nov. 27. Homegrown talent David Joplin (MARQ) averaged 28 points over his last two games.
Seattle at Duke
NCAAMThe No. 11 Blue Devils roll with the Redhawks. Duke dropped to 1-2 against ranked opponents this season when its upset bid of No. 1 Kansas fell short 75-72 on Nov. 26. Highly-touted Devils freshman Cooper Flagg is averaging 17 points per game.
Monmouth at Seton Hall
NCAAMThe Pirates (4-3) try to maintain their grip on the Garden State rival Hawks (0-8). Seton Hall has won all 15 meetings after a 70-61 verdict last season. The Pirates finished third in the Charleston Classic after defeating Florida Atlantic 63-61.
Alcorn State at Maryland
NCAAMThe Braves continue their season-opening, 13-game trip by taking on the Terrapins. Maryland sits at 6-1 and has won three in a row after falling to then-No. 15 Marquette on Nov. 15. Freshman center Derik Queen leads the Terps with 16 points per game.
Buffalo at Penn State
NCAAMAce Baldwin Jr. and the Nittany Lions (6-1) try to bounce back as they host the Bulls (4-3). Penn State comes off a 75-67 loss to Clemson in the Sunshine Slam championship game. Baldwin, a senior, posted 20 points and 11 assists in that contest.
Middle Tennessee State at Alabama-Birmingham
NCAAMThe Blue Raiders (5-2) challenge the Blazers (4-4). Middle Tennessee is coming off a run to the final of the Myrtle Beach Invitational, but has dropped nine of the last 10 meetings with UAB dating back to the 2019 Conference USA Tournament.

Michigan vs Xavier
NCAAMThe Wolverines (5-1) battle the No. 22 Musketeers (6-0) in the Fort Myers Tip-Off final. Michigan coach Dusty May successfully returned to Florida, defeating Virginia Tech 75-63 on Roddy Gayle Jr.'s 20 points., while Xavier beat South Carolina 75-66.
Rider at Villanova
NCAAMThe Broncs try to pile on the reeling Wildcats. Villanova fell to 3-4 on the season after a loss in the dying seconds to Maryland on Nov. 24. Nova forward Eric Dixon poured in a career-high 38 points in that one-point setback. Rider stands at 4-2.
Stonehill at Marquette
NCAAMThe undefeated No. 10 Golden Eagles tip off against the Skyhawks in Milwaukee. Senior guard Kam Jones has led the Marquette attack, posting 20.5 points and 6.2 assists per game. The Eagles are off to a 6-0 start for the first time since 2011-12.
South Carolina vs Virginia Tech
NCAAMThe Hokies (3-3) play the Gamecocks (3-3) in the Beach Division consolation at the Fort Myers Tip-Off. Virginia Tech's slide hit three games after falling 75-63 to Michigan in the semifinals. South Carolina came up short versus No. 22 Xavier, 75-66.
Purdue vs NC State
NCAAMThe No. 13 Boilermakers play the Wolfpack in a high-profile contest at the Rady Children's Invitational. Purdue is 5-1, and NC State is off to its first 5-0 start since 2018-19. Braden Smith (PUR) is among the nation's assist leaders at 9.3 per game.
Arkansas vs Illinois
NCAAMThe No. 19 Razorbacks face the Fighting Illini in Kansas City, Mo. Arkansas won the last meeting, 73-63 in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Arkansas also knocked off No. 1 seed Kansas before falling to eventual national champion UConn.
