Gloria
After serving three years in prison covering for her gangster boyfriend, Kevin (Jeremy Northam), Gloria (Sharon Stone) returns to New York City for the money she was promised. Inside Kevin's base of operations, she finds 7-year-old Nicky (Jean-Luke Figueroa), whose family has been killed. Nicky is hanging onto a computer disk that incriminates the gang. Kevin refuses to pay Gloria, so she steals Nicky and the evidence. On the run in the city, the cynical ex-convict and the young boy grow close.

Raymond (Vincent Gallo) is finally on parole after taking the fall on a drug charge for crime lord Tony (Rod Steiger). Raymond vows revenge, so he and his buddies Curtis (Kiefer Sutherland) and Marcus (Mykelti Williamson) decide to steal Tony's narcotics supply. When the job goes bad, the crooks flee to the desert, where they abduct some yuppies, with both the police and Tony's thugs close behind.

Carl Anderson (Liam Neeson), a deaf, mute and homeless war veteran, is arrested for the murder of a prominent judge's secretary. Texas
Confederate soldiers Dan (William Holden) and Tod (Glenn Ford) look to Texas for opportunities when the war ends. Upon witnessing a stagecoach robbery, the close friends ambush the outlaws and confiscate the stolen funds. Tod wishes to return the money, but Dan wants to keep it. After a sheriff gives chase, each man runs off on his own. They are reunited after some time, but with Tod now an honest ranch hand and Dan an outlaw cattle rustler, the two do not know if their friendship can survive.

Alvarez Kelly
Alvarez Kelly (William Holden) is a Mexican cattle rancher who is doing his best to stay out of the Civil War. In Italy during World War II, a squad of American soldiers is scattered by sniper fire, leaving one soldier, Pvt. Small (George Cooper), trapped inside a foxhole. Pvt. But the two have their work cut out for them when the authoritative Capt. Paul Lock (Ernie Kovacs) starts breathing down their necks.
