Frustrated with his boring life, Wallace Avery (Colin Firth) fakes his own death and sets out to make a new life for himself as a golf pro named Arthur Newman. Ronnie thinks his new friends work for his father, Frederick (Lester Matthews), who he says owns a cattle farm named "Rancho San Quentin." Gene and Frog realize the boy's father is in San Quentin Penitentiary, but decide to keep it quiet. When Frederick shows up after a daring jailbreak, Gene and Frog help him clear his name.
